OPI ‘I Brake For Manicures’
This is the second nail varnish from my recent Paris Sephora mini haul polishes: I picked the unusual OPI ‘I Brake For Manicures’ from the 2011 Touring America collection. I wasn’t super excited for this range when I saw it, but maybe I’ve judged it too quickly…
When I saw this nail varnish in the shop it looked like a really interesting browny-maroon colour, almost eggplant-like. When I painted my nails with it, it came a lot more brown toned which was a bit of a disappointment as I’m not a huge fan of brown nail varnishes. But it has actually really grown on me the more I’ve worn it. Without direct light it looks just like melted chocolate and in direct light it has a dusty grey tint to it which I really like. I definitely don’t have anything else like this in my collection which is a hard thing for me to say!
The coverage was almost perfect in one coat but I did two coats just to be sure. I imagine that with thick and careful application this could be a one-coater. I topped this with Seche Vite as always!
