November Birchbox Review

November Birchbox Review

If you have read my last blog post about my visit to the KMS hair academy in association with Birchbox, you will know that the lovely Birchbox ladies took us out for an amazing meal at Blanchette.

Just look at the little knitted bands (that we all assumed were head-warmers… awkward)! Photo pinched from Supergorgeous’s instagram!

Take a sneak peek into this month’s Birchbox contents. The theme is ‘Cosy At Home’ – it’s November (apparently) and that means nights in, heating on and lots of pampering. In case you don’t know what a Birchbox is, here’s the official description: you get 5 beauty samples every month, from tried-and-true brands to niche lines you have yet to discover. There are videos and articles on the website to show you how to use them and give you more info and you can earn points and discounts if you then purchase the full-size version from the Birchbox website. Plus you get an exciting beauty parcel in the post every month – I love it! A subscription also makes a brilliant gift for someone if you’re struggling to think of what they might like, or if you like the idea of getting them something that will keep on giving for the coming months once Christmas is long gone.

Also – my readers can get £5 discount on their box by using this code: BBXCosy. What are you waiting for?

Firstly, the one I was most excited about: Dr.Jart+ Pore Refine Recover Primer! Eeee! I’ve wanted to try Dr.Jart products for ages and every person who gets a Birchbox this month will receive a FULL-SIZE product. AMAZING. This primer alone is worth £16 so this box will have already paid for itself and then some! If you’ve read my blog before you’ll know I am obsessed with finding the ONE. The primer to change my life. I struggle to stop my make up sliding off my face after about 3pm. This primer is as close as I’ve got to a HG product. It’s a clear gel that isn’t too silicone-y slippery and you only need one pump for your whole face so this will last ages.

Weleda Lavender Relaxing Body Oil (10ml) – I’m not a huge fan of lavender but I might use this in my bath when I’m feeling particularly stressed.

OPI nail varnish in ‘Coca-Cola Red’ – I did a little squeak when I opened the box and saw a full-size OPI! Amazing. Also it’s a limited edition shade from the Coca-Cola collection so it’s twice as exciting. I love OPI products and this is a stunning bright red that will suit everyone.

Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Hair Mask – These little pots are so cute and are perfect for taking away with you if you want to give your hair a bit of love. They contain argan oil, honey and amber so I’m expecting great things. They also smell INCREDIBLE – I can’t wait to use them.

Jane Iredale Purelash Lash Extender & Conditioner – I’ve been looking for an eyelash primer for a while as I love big dramatic eyelashes. This is designed to lengthen and strengthen your eyelashes so I’ll let you know what I think…

And the lifestyle product was a perfect addition to a box designed to help you get cosy and pampered … chocolate! A big chunky bar of Montezuma’s organic milk chocolate. This is ideal when you have a hair mask on and are painting your nails. Yes, I’m a walking cliche. And what?

What do you think about beauty subscription boxes?
