I wear lipstick every day and my favourite finish is matte, so my lips take quite a battering. I usually have a few lipbalms scattered around: in handbags, on my desk, next to my bed, in the living room… you get the idea!
I’ve seen a few people using Balmi lip balms and was instantly drawn to their pretty colours and the conical shape of the balm. But more on that later! I was excited to try this out, so thanks Balmi for sending me one 🙂
Balmi Minty Lip Balm
There are many pros to this lip balm. The one that stands out the most is the pretty pastel colours of the outer case – the mint green case that I got is a perfect colour for spring and summer. It’s also SPF15 which is an essential for me. The mint scent and flavour is another ticks. PLUS, the actual lip balm is very good! It’s quite a wet formula once it hits your lips which I wasn’t expecting as it looks matte in the case. But it does mean that your lips really feel moisturised as soon as you put it on.
You can buy Balmi lip balms in Boots for £4.99, and you can choose from mint, coconut, strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant flavours.
The case is very cute and handbag friendly. It has the little cord on it which I think is supposed to attach to your phone…? Didn’t that used to be a thing? I can’t remember. Maybe it goes on your car keys? Is this what old age feels like?
However, I wasn’t aware that the top twisted off to reveal the balm, and I just pulled the top off and may have slightly broken the plastic… so watch out for that!
I mentioned the conical shape of the balm and I think it’s genius. It means you can put the balm straight onto your lips – fingers in balms and creams always makes me feel a bit queasy, especially as I have long nails and hate getting product under them!
