Pure Daily Skin Care from Marks and Spencer

Today I want to introduce you to my current favourite skin care product: the Pure Daily Skin Care Super Active Overnight Oil from Marks and Spencer. This is such a favourite of mine that when I saw my bottle was running out I had to repurchase as I was scared what would happen to my skin if I didn’t!

And weirdly I have no idea where the original bottle came from. It arrived in an unmarked jiffy bag with no note! It could be a competition prize, a free sample, a PR sample… I have no idea. And it’s super frustrating as I bloody LOVE this stuff!

The bottle on the left is the original (almost empty) bottle which is the 12ml size, and costs £7.50. That’s not a typo. Seven. Pounds. Fifty. Ridiculous. The bottle on the right is the replacement bottle which is 28ml for £15.

The Super Active Overnight Oil contains Omega 3 and 6 (great for inflammation, dryness and thinning skin plus Omega 3 is apparently great for skin issues such as rosacea), is made in the UK and is BUAV approved. Also, according to the website it’s free from artificial colours, parabens and synthetic fragrances and contains only responsibly sourced, naturally British ingredients.

But most importantly it feels amazing on the skin and works fantastically! I find facial oils so luxurious and relaxing to use. I use this every night after cleansing and toning and press two or three drops onto my skin. It smells lovely and doesn’t feel too slippery or heavy which is good.

Any new skincare is a worry for me as my rosacea means my skin is very sensitive and can react very badly to some products. This doesn’t aggravate my skin or overload it so you can see why I needed to stock up!

The only thing that is a slight negative for this product is that the screw top doesn’t full screw down anymore. It tightens up when I fasten it, but then slightly unscrews when I stop turning it. You can kind of see in the picture above that the lid isn’t sitting flush with the white plastic ring? It’s never leaked but I’m always a bit worried it might! It may just be this one bottle though, so I’ll keep an eye on the new bottle.

As I liked the oil so much I thought I’d try the serum from the same range. This was £12 for 30ml which I think is very reasonable.

You can take a look at the full range HERE. There are some other really lovely looking products. Are you tempted by anything?

    Hi,

I wanted to try all these because of the anti ageing skincare properties. I just turned 30 and I am searching for anti-aging products to help me fighting my physical look as I get older :). Thanks for sharing such worthy products,
