I’m always on the look out for my next nail varnish discovery and was very excited when this brand popped into my inbox. Described as a luxurious boutique nail polish brand, HJ Manicure nail varnish is named after its founder, Helen J: a former model who trained as a nail technician and worked as a session manicurist… so she definitely knows her nail varnish!

So let’s get cracking with the pictures! This beautiful beast is ‘Vintage Bronze‘, an eye-catching taupe-khaki green that has a stunning copper shimmer to it. It seems to light up with an orange glow which meant I couldn’t stop staring at it. I don’t think I own anything else similar which is rare!

As if the colours weren’t pretty enough by themselves, all of the HJ Manicure nail varnishes are 5-free, Vegan and cruelty free. So you can rock an amazing manicure while soothing your conscience.
In my opinion, the only thing that lets these nail varnishes down slightly is that they have quite thin brushes, but that’s just my personal preference so don’t let that put you off.
The other colour I got was ‘Alpine Green‘, a lovely wintery green-blue. The shimmer is a bit more subtle in this polish as you can see in the pictures below, but it’s such a classic shade that would look good on everyone. You can get it HERE (it looks like the site is down).
