L’Oréal Paris Infallible SexyBalms

Although I have a silly amount of lip products, I just cannot resist new exciting products when I see them. So when I was in France and saw the new L’Oréal Paris Infallible SexyBalms I had to pick some up.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible SexyBalms

There are two types of SexyBalm in the range: Sheer and Bold. The Sheer Infallible SexyBalms give a very pretty, light wash of colour that would be wonderful if you don’t like anything too intense, or if you’re just getting into wearing more colour. But that’s not me! So I picked up three of the Bold Infallible SexyBalms.

When I swatched them in Monoprix, I actually said ‘OOOOH’ out loud because I couldn’t believe how pigmented they were. They are very creamy and smooth to apply so you have to be careful at the outer edges of your lips as it’s easy to get it everywhere! A lipliner (preferably a clear one) would be a big help if you can be bothered.

They are quite large tubes, with a click top and a twist-up crayon bullet. The packaging is plastic and doesn’t feel terribly sturdy, also the silver writing has already started to rub off one of these tubes from being in my handbag which is a shame, but something I find on a lot of products. These are £4.99 each HERE (I think they were more expensive in France…d’oh!) and are currently on offer at Boots as 3 for 2.

These are the shades I picked:

• Infallible SexyBalm Bold 201 Wasted – a dark vampy red with a gorgeous berry tone
• Infallible SexyBalm Bold 202 Adventure – a bright fuchsia that is so flattering
• Infallible SexyBalm Bold 204 Neverstop – a super pigmented coral pink that’s the perfect summer shade

These are a really moisturising gel-cream formula and, although they start off very shiny and glossy-looking, they do actually dry down a little which I wasn’t expecting and loved! Plus they leave a bit of a stain behind so they’re great to wear on a night out or on days when you won’t have much time to keep topping up your lipstick. However, you will need a mirror to apply them! Because they are so creme, they have a tendency to go outside the lip line.

Infallible SexyBalms are shown below, along with a manicure using a L’Oréal Paris Color Riche a Huile in ‘220 Dimanche Aprés Midi’, a super pale pink that’s very pretty and sheer.
