We Started a Podcast!

If you follow me on Twitter (and if not, why not? *stares at you for an uncomfortably long time* … you can rectify that HERE) you may have heard me referring to Beauty Talk Podcast. That’s right, we started a podcast!

We Started A Podcast!

Podcasts are one of the fastest growing platforms for people to share their content and thoughts, but compared to the US they aren’t as huge in the UK. I listen to a few podcasts and love that I can have them on in the background while I’m working, cooking, travelling. I love to read to relax but sometimes it’s just not possible and you can have all your podcasts on your phone ready to go, even when you have no internet connection.

After a drunken night out with the lovely Beccy and Jemma, we got talking about podcasts and realised that – as far as we knew – there were no beauty podcasts currently going on in the UK. Which seemed crazy to us. So we started a podcast! Just like that the Beauty Talk Podcast was born – you can find all of the episodes listed HERE with show notes so you can find the products we talk about. You can listen to us on  iTunes, Stitcher and Soundcloud.

We are currently on episode 8, with episode 9 going live on Wednesday. So far we’ve covered all sorts: from high street to high end beauty, haircare, nails, our careers in beauty and next week we’re going to be doing a Q&A session, so if you have a burning question you’d like to ask us then please do tweet us at @BeautyTalkPod! It could be a recommendation question, some advice, or just a nosey question about us, our careers, blogs… we’re open books!

If you’d like some other recommendations, the first podcast I ever listened to and LOVED was ‘Being Boss’, a wonderful podcast that offers advice to women entrepreneurs and business  women in creative industries. Each week covers a different topic and I found it so helpful when I first went freelance, even if it just makes you feel less alone! I also love ‘My Dad Wrote A Porno‘ which had me snort-laughing and groaning in cringe-horror in equal amounts. I really love the new Sunday Times Style podcast from Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes – ‘The PanDolly Podcast’, which covers fashion, celebrity news and general nattering. If you want to feel like you’re eavesdropping on a chat between two really good friends, you’ll love the Em & Khi podcast  – both bloggers, they talk about everything under the sun and I often catch myself trying to join in with the conversation, I’m that caught up in it! Let me know your favourite podcasts please!

I hope you enjoy our podcast, let me know your thoughts in the comments. And if you do like the podcast please share it with friends or on social media so we can find more likeminded beauty obsessives! Thank you 🙂
