Etta French Jewellery Candles #AD

I have always had a bit of a home fragrance obsession. Whether it was incense, oils, candles or (more recently) wax melts, it’s been an ongoing obsession. So I’m really excited to introduce Etta French Jewellery candles * to you.

I have lived in some form of rented accommodation for the last 12 years and many of those places have been…shall we say, rustic? If you rent you will know how annoying it is to not be able to put your own personal stamp on the place. So I have a few tried and tested ways of making a place feel like home when you can’t paint, drill or replace furniture. And the main one of those is scent. Scent, along with music, is one of my biggest triggers for memories and emotions so the simple act of lighting a candle can completely change my mood. I can go from being lethargic and moping to energetic and inspired, from stressed and aggravated to relaxed and soothed. In short, candles are flipping magical.

However, the candles from Etta French are especially magical. Firstly, their fragrance range is in-cred-ible. Shown in the photos is the full size of the Rose, Saffron and Vetiver scent which is the perfect spring-summer fragrance. Also shown are minis of the Violet & Sweetpea, which I didn’t think I’d be a fan of but am ADDICTED to, and Wisteria & Orangeblossom, which is so citrusy and clean-smelling that I just keep going back to sniff it!

Plus they look beautiful – all pastels and simple designs that are just made for instagram (… it can’t only be me that thinks about that stuff?)

But the most unique thing about these candles is that incased in the wax is one of 100 pieces of Pearl & Queenie jewellery, including beautiful rings, dainty necklaces, cool bracelets and pretty charms. The item of jewellery is wrapped in foil and inside two ziplock-sealed bags (so you don’t have to worry about cleaning tons of dried wax off the jewellery!) and is slowly revealed as you burn the candle. The large candles burn for 45-50 hours so you have to be a little bit patient but it’s worth it!

Some more details about the Etta French Jewellery candles: they are 100% natural plant wax, never tested on animals, and the super pretty jars are made of recycled glass (I’m planning to keep mine to put make up brushes in afterwards as well!) The mini candles do not contain jewellery but still have the same lovely fragrances and ingredients.

I think these would make such a lovely gift for people as it’s a really different idea that I’ve never seen anywhere else before. PLUS throughout July you can get 10% off all candle purchases if you use the code ETTABLOGJUL16. Let me know which scent you choose so I can build my enormous wishlist!
