I’m Going To Be On TV: Katie Piper’s Face To Face

For a while I’ve been doing that super annoying thing that people do where they say things like: ‘working on a secret project today, I can’t say anything about it but all will be revealed…!’ I’m very aware that this is the most irritating thing ever, but I was so excited and desperately wanted to share the news with you but I wasn’t allowed. Until today…! I’m so, so thrilled to announce that I’m going to be appearing on the new Channel 4 programme, Katie Piper’s Face To Face!

I'm going to be on TV! Katie Piper's Face To Face

I’m still sworn to secrecy about a lot of the content of the show but I can tell you that, as the title would suggest, the programme is presented by Katie Piper. I was really excited to meet her, she’s incredibly inspiring and does such wonderful charity work. She was even more lovely in person than I thought she would be: she was very friendly and so kind to me even when I was shaking like a leaf throughout filming. It’s a Channel 4 show made by Remarkable Television and it was such an exciting team to work with.

The programme talks to various people whose lives are affected in some way by a skin condition, obviously I am there to talk about rosacea. This is particularly important to me this month as April is global Rosacea Awareness Month, so any conversations around the condition are so helpful.

I haven’t seen the show, I’ll be watching it live along with everyone else, and I’m so, so nervous. We did four days of filming (with some of those being done last year) and I can’t actually remember much of what I said in the interviews!

You can watch me on Katie Piper’s Face To Face on Channel 4 on Tuesday 11th of April at 10pm, and I’m guessing it will be available to stream on 4OD shortly after. A few people have already messaged me to say that they’ve seen the ad on Channel 4 – I haven’t seen it yet but if you do, let me know!

If you’re watching next Tuesday, tweet me and let me know using the hashtag #FaceToFace. I’ll be watching from behind my fingers so any support would be much appreciated!

CONGRATULATIONS!! You deserve it. Unfortunately, living in Canada I won’t be able to see it so I hope you can share it some time so all of us with rosacea (and just your regular fans) can benefit from your wisdom. On a rosacea note, I’ve heard of promising results with niacinimde and green tea eztract so I’ve started using some “100% Pure” products and have The Ordinary Niacinimide serum on the way. The 100% Pure cucumber cleanser, rose serum, and rose moisturizer are absolutely lovely. I’m also still using my Dermaced Redness Redux which keeps my redness to a minimum as long as I use it twice a day. It starts to work at about the 1 month mark just in case you ever try it. Finally, to make a long comment even longer, I’ve read some articles recently about proteins and immunity that seem like a promising cause for rosacea. You should have a google.
    Cheers
