It’s been a little while since I’ve done some nail art for Mani Monday but today I had a hankering for it. I’m a little bit rusty, so this isn’t as neat as I’d like it to be, but how cute is this pizza nail art? *insert alllll the heart eye emojis*
All my nail art is hand painted and – for those of you interested – I always use the same tools from Sparkly Nails: a dotting tool is a really useful item for tiny details and polka dots (obviously) but you can also just use the tip of a pencil or a straightened out hair pin. I also used a tiny detail brush to do the larger shapes of the pizza slices.
The base coat is two coats of essie ‘private weekend’*, a beautiful white polish with a slight shimmer. I then used Barry M ‘Lemonade’ for the base of the pizza slices, pointing them in different directions as though it was raining pizza (IMAGINE THOUGH). I used the dotting tool to paint the delicious crusts (using Barry M ‘Tiki Hut’*) and the detail brush to draw a very thin line along the edge to give the slices some dimension. Then I decorated the top with Barry M ‘Bright Red’ and Kiko ‘Meadow Green’. I finished off the whole manicure with a generous layer of Seche Vite top coat and I was done!
The only downside to cute pizza nail art? Now I’m craving pizza! I hope you enjoyed this look, let me know if you’d like more nail art posts, as I want to get back into it. You can have a look at my other nail art looks HERE.
