I had such an overwhelming response to my recent gradients and a lot of questions asking how I do them, so I decided to do a tutorial.

We’ve all seen the beautiful Ciaté Caviar manicure sets advertised. They are set to be the newest trend in nail art…if you can get your hands on a set. I am impatient and didn’t want to wait a month for them to come back in stock!
So, I went to a craft shop, bought these beads and did it myself. Quite fiddly but sooooo pretty. Also, the Ciaté bottles cost £18…my pot cost 40p! So I’m happy!

Hi, thank you for your question!
Most of the time I use a teeny tiny paintbrush and nail varnish to do my detailing as it’s how I learnt and am most comfortable.
However! For the aztec nails you are talking about, I did use the WAH nails x Models Own nail art pens. I highly recommend them as they are easy to use, go on opaque (rare for pens) and are a lot less mess than paintbrushes!
Hope that helps,
Lex :)
I realised today that I have been doing nail art and my little nail blog for 6 months!
I have enjoyed it so much and I really appreciate everyone who reads my blog, asks questions, inspires me, reblogs, retweets and has ordered nails from me. You are all lovely.
Here’s to the next 6 months!
