This week has flown by and I’m in shock that it’s Friday. I’m still not used to being back in the UK: where is my afternoon pichet of wine? Where is all the cheese? Where is the golden retriever to fall asleep on my feet? How can I be expected to live in these wine-cheese-and-dogless conditions? Let’s crack on with my Friday Faves to cheer me up…

What did I fill my days with before I had an internet-enabled phone full-to-bursting with apps? (I probably just played Snake, let’s be honest) My phone is always alerting me to the fact that I have no memory left as I collect apps like I collect nail varnish. I am constantly dreaming of the day I can delete the Stocks and Compass app to give me more room for mindless games. So here are my 5 favourite apps: some are fun and some are more useful but they’re all ones I use pretty much every day. Don’t forget to let me know your favourite apps in the comments below – I may have to delete some photos to fit anything new on my phone so really sell your recommendations to me!

My 5 favourite apps: games, periods and social media management...

Photo credit: @technicallyron (I draw your attention to my deep concentration face and also the external charger attached to my phone, because I’d played Pokemon ALL DAY and my phone was not happy. ALSO this was the day that I dropped my phone because a pigeon flew directly at my face – not shown: the smashed iphone screen and my deep, deep rage. Bloody pigeon.)

A few weeks ago I posted about my finding skincare favourites challenge with Boots UK (read it HERE). In that post I gave a little introduction to my skin and its issues – primarily rosacea and therefore ridiculously sensitive skin – and also showed you the products I would be trying out. I’ve been doing this challenge for about three weeks now, but many of these products are trusted skincare favourites of mine, ones that crop up in so many of my recommendations and ‘favourites’ posts, so you could say this is a bit of a skincare ‘dream team’!

For the last three days of our break in the South of France, it has been absolutely glorious sunshine and it’s amazing what it can do for your mood. I feel happier, brighter, lighter, plus it’s so much easier to wake up on a morning when you can see the light streaming through the window from outside. My summery mood must have affected my beauty shopping, as on one of my inevitable trips to Sephora last week, I picked up Sephora ‘Bikini Party’ and I knew instantly that it would be love.

I’ve been in France for over a week and the internet at my parents’s house is still down, so I’m having to tether my laptop to my phone to connect to the outside world and write this week’s Friday Faves post! As usual I have three favourite things I can’t wait to tell you about, along with my first Friday Faux Pas…

Friday Faves: A guilty pleasure TV programme, a disturbing but compelling book and my new favourite hand cream...

When I’m in a rush to get ready or have no inspiration for my make up, I always go for a warm-toned eye look. Whenever I post a selfie with this type of make up, someone will usually ask me which products I use, so I thought I would do a quick tutorial. Don’t forget to subscribe and give me a thumbs up if you enjoy this – these help my videos to appear in people’s side bars so I would love you forever!

Some people love wandering around the shoe section in Selfridges. Some are happiest in Paperchase (which I *totally* get, that place is dreamy). For me, I could waste hours in Boots. Whether it’s in person – swatching make up all the way up my arm – or online where I repeatedly fill my online basket full of my skincare wishlist after doing hours of research on all the new releases. The return of the 3 for 2 deal means you can find your skincare favourite with Boots UK – come and see what I’m trying out this month!

I’ve set this week’s Friday Faves post to go live automatically as I am currently holidaying in the South of France. I’m so fancy… no, I’m not really. The reason I had to schedule it is because my parents live in the middle of flipping nowhere and their internet goes down ALL the time and it’s like visiting people who live in caves. So if you comment below (please do, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy) I’m not ignoring you, I’m just having enforced no-screen time.

Friday Faves: Models Own Sweet Dreams palette. Pastel eye make up is so pretty for spring!
