I have been obsessed with nail varnish for such a long time and I still get a little flurry of excitement when I discover a new brand or formula. But when I first stumbled across Floss Gloss I knew it was going to be a company to watch. Their Instagram account is bright, bold, and a little bit filthy – what more do you need?

I love Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I’m pretty sure she was created in a lab dedicated to populating the world with perfect humans. I just needed to get that out of the way before I started this blog post. Rosie has been working with M&S in some capacity for about 5 years (including ranges of underwear and sportswear) and it seems to be a great fit. But today I wanted to show you some of her Rosie by Autograph make up range.

Sometimes there are great things that I’m desperate to tell you about but they don’t feel quite big enough for a whole blog post. I tried doing ‘current favourites’ posts but they started becoming huge, unwieldy beasts and just didn’t have the same feel to them. I want these Friday Faves posts to be like the urgent WhatsApp messages I send to my friends saying ‘If you haven’t watched/listened to/tried/eaten *insert current obsession* then we cannot be friends anymore until you have rectified this situation’.

So let’s go – here are the things that I desperately want you to discover so that we can bond over how much we both adore them.

You will all know by now that Essie are my favourite nail varnish brand. I love everything about them: the formula, the longevity, the colours. On top of this, I’m a sucker for anything limited edition. So the Essie Retro Revival 2017 collection was bound to catch my eye…

I was such a latecomer to podcasts but I am now desperately trying to make up for lost time. They are a great thing to have on the background while I’m working: it can be quite a lonely existence being a freelancer and I really enjoy having people nattering away in the background when I’m working alone in my flat. So I’ve picked the 5 best podcasts to listen to now, and I tried to pick a range of themes and subjects so hopefully there’s something here for everyone. Don’t forget to let me know your podcast recommendations in the comments below!

You have probably seen the media banging on about the ‘feud’ between Helen Mirren and Charlotte Tilbury regarding make up and ‘to wear or not to wear’ – because, you know, two women can’t disagree without it being a feud, right? *look to camera*
