Holiday!
I apologise now for a partially non-nail-related blog post! I have just got back from my holiday: My boyfriend took me to Paris for our first anniversary and then we went to visit my parents in the South of France. It was absolutely amazing and I want to go back!
The photos are, in order: The Eiffel Tower (!); The Pont des Arts: a bridge where lovers attach padlocks with their names and throw the key into the Seine (we had ours engraved before the trip); Us looking over Paris from the steps of Sacre Coeur.
I would recommend Paris to everyone. It is a truly magical and beautiful place. Just amazing.
Right! Enough romance and soppiness! I put some nails in to give this blog a purpose! I knew I wouldn’t want to do my nails when I was away (plus base coat, nail varnish and top coat take up a lot of room!) so I decided to get a Shellac gel manicure so I didn’t have to think about it. This is ‘Tropix’ by Shellac and I love it! So shiny and perfect and pink. By the end of my holiday I was desperate to get it off though - I’m not used to having one colour on for that long!
Sorry for the picture dump, hope it wasn’t too boring!

2 month blog-iversary!

Yes, hard to believe but I’ve been doing this for 2 months! When you’re being bombarded by my Twitter posts about nails and manicures it probably feels like a lot longer but sadly not!

I always enjoyed painting my nails but only started taking it ‘seriously’ and trying out nail art about 3 months ago. A few people on Twitter (including my ridiculously supportive and understanding mani-widow boyfriend) suggested that I start a blog with my nail art and here we are!

Thank you for reading, commenting and inspiring me. I really appreciate it. I will be scheduling a few more posts this weekend as a bit of a celebratory nail extravaganza so please keep popping in to see what’s new.

Thank you again,

Lex :)
