Swatch - OPI ‘Pompeii Purple’ Another birthday polish! I did wonder why this was called ‘Pompeii Purple’ as it’s so obviously a hot pink, but as you can see in the pictures the purple/blue flash gives it a duochrome effect that makes it purple. This is two coats, but I would probably go with three if I was wearing this alone. As much as I love this polish, I was getting a bit bored of plain, one-colour manicures…so I added some leopard print to the tips! Lex :)

Half and half mix and match… I got a few OPI polishes free when I subscribed to a magazine and they arrived on Friday. One is ‘Suzy Says Feng Shui’ (which I already owned) and the other is the pink used in this mani (‘Be A Dahlia Won’t You’). This is a pretty bright pink polish, with glass flecked glitter. This only took two coats for full coverage, although it did take quite a long time to dry even with Seche Vite. Unfortunately I am just not in love with this polish. I like pink but this is TOO pink for me. The full manicure of this colour was not doing it for me, so I decided to liven it up a bit. I did half the nails white and used a black nail art pen to do the tribals, leopard print, triangles and stripes. I did the reverse on the other hand (white detail on black background) but my hands are super shaky today (I’m dying of a hangover!) and I just wasn’t happy with the right hand. I really like this mani and am definitely going to try it with some other colours. Lex :)
