Vintage French Beauty Stand
For those of you who don’t know, my parents live in France. Every so often my mum will show me something absolutely beautiful that they have picked up at a vide grenier (the French equivalent of a car boot sale – they make it sound so much more glamorous, don’t they!) When I go to visit we occasionally pop along to a vide grenier: they are amazing, people sell all sorts of stuff. From underwear (yes, really) to full bedroom furniture sets. You can get some stunning vintage things there if you get along early enough.
ANYWAY, last time my parents were back in the UK my mum brought me this beautiful stand that she picked up for the equivalent of a few pounds. I can’t believe it was so cheap, it looks so expensive and elegant. I am completely in love with it and think it adds such a lovely feeling to my dressing table.
I have put it on my dressing table with perfume on the top, rings on the middle plate and make up brushes on the bottom. I ADORE IT.
If only our car boot sales here were as good…!
