Japanese Beauty Haul Make Up

It’s finally here! All of the goodies I got in Japan. I’ve had to break it down into two posts, as you can see I got quite a lot of stuff! This first post will cover all the make up as that makes up the bulk of the haul. There are a lot of photos so are you sitting comfortably? Do you have a drink to hand, some biscuits perhaps? Then let us begin!

Japanese Beauty Haul Make Up

Japanese Beauty Haul Make Up

Apologies for the dull pictures but I had to take all of them in our hotel room in Japan because 1) I wanted to use everything and couldn’t until I’d taken photos (#beautybloggerproblems) and 2) I had to discard a lot of the packaging to fit it all in my suitcase to bring home!

image

image

Ladurée powder blusher – this isn’t Japanese (obviously) but is a super popular brand in Japan partly due to it’s crazily beautiful packaging.

Kate ‘Lash maximiser eyelash plus’ – I thought this was just a white eyelash primer but it has tiny fibers in as well. I love this for beefing up my fair and tiny eyelashes.

image

Heroine Make mascara – I got this in my last Japan beauty haul and love it. A tiny brush so you can really get into the corners and coat every eyelash. It gives good volume and (like most Japanese eye make up) is humidity and waterproof.

image

D.U.P ‘volume extension’ mascara – this contains fibers to give super long lashes but is a very wet formula so beware transfer when you’re waiting for it to dry!

image

K-Palette ‘Real lasting eyebrow 1 day tattoo’ – Another repeat purchase, this is an amazing eyebrow pen. It’s a little dark for me but still one of my all time favourites: gives great definition and really does last all day.

image

K-Palette ‘Real lasting eyeliner 1 day tattoo’ – After loving the eyebrow pen so much I definitely needed to try the eyeliner. It lasts super well, even with my watery eyes, but isn’t opaque in one swipe – you need to go over it a few times to get a true black line.

image

CanMake ‘Strong eyes eyeliner’ – Very similar to the above eyeliner (lasts well, not opaque in one go) but much cheaper!

image

Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner – another repeat purchase. This is the eyeliner I wore on my wedding day as it’s the most durable I’ve found, it’s also jet black on the first swipe AND has the finest nib I’ve used. Perfection in an eyeliner.

image

Majolica Majorca ‘Lash Expander Edge Meister’ – A very odd name! Majolica Majorca are famous for their mascaras and have a wide range. This one is really wet and I find my lashes clump together when using it so I have to be very careful with application. However the end result is very striking.

image

Majolica Majorca ‘Lash King’ – One of their most famous mascaras, so I was very excited to try this. Again it’s very wet, but gives great volume and curl. It came with a mini of the lash primer which is rubbish!

image

Kate eyebrow styler – This is similar to eyebrow products currently out in the UK in that it has a thin pencil on one end for definition and a powder with sponge applicator on the other end for filling in sparse brows. I’ve been using this on days when I want a more natural look.

image

Integrate eyebrow pen – Another eyebrow product! Then is a pen that’s a slightly better colour match for me than the K-Palette one. Very subtle and easy to use.

image

Heroine Make – Mineral BB cream. I bought this without knowing much about it and after trying it once, tried to go stockpile more and couldn’t find it again. This stuff is incredible. Japanese BB cream is so much better than the UK bastardised version – it’s high coverage but doesn’t feel or look it and cares for your skin (not this weird tinted moisturiser crap we get in the UK). This covers my rosacea redness while looking dewy and not letting oil get through. Gutted I couldn’t get more!

image

Primavista ‘Long Keep Base’ – This was on the expensive side but is so worth it. I am an oily-faced gal and this keeps my make up on until I get home at night which is unheard of. It doesn’t make my face feel tight or clogged, just brilliant. I went back the next day and bought a back up!

image

CanMake ‘Dolly Mat Base’ – Another primer. Also very good at keeping shine at bay for a lot less money than the Primavista version. This has a white cast to it once applied so anyone with skin darker than me may find it looks odd!

image

Visee Eyebrow and Nose powder – this is cute little compact for contouring the nose and filling in brows. I haven’t tried it yet but it looks pretty good – not too muddy or orange.

image

Coffret D’Or Cheek and Face Color – This was too pretty to pass up! You swirl your brush in the centre and add that to cheeks, then swirl round the outside and apply as a highlighter to your cheekbones.

CanMake Cream Cheek blusher – These blushers are small and fairly cheap, I don’t really have many peachy coral cream blushers so had to pick one up.

image

CanMake Glow Fleur Highlighter – Another product that was too pretty to ignore! A beautiful powder highlighter with multiple shades.

image

NOT PICTURED: on the last day of the holiday I did some panicked ‘oh god I’m leaving Japan I need to buy more’ shopping and got: 3 sets of false eyelashes; Sana ‘Pore Putty’ primer (erases pores, doesn’t help with oil, is tinted); LB Mineral Moist BB Base (cheap but good BB cream); KATE Mineral Cover BB Gel Cream (cheap BB cream, leaves a very dewy finish, good for natural days).

And that’s it for the make up part of my haul! Are you still awake? The next blog in this series is skincare and ‘misc’.

I am so pleased with my Japan beauty haul, the  make up is wonderful and packaged so beautifully that I’m enjoying using them AND having them on my dressing table. Which of them catch your eye?
