Re Buy Or Bye Bye Monthly Empties Mini Review

I love reading empties blog posts: I really like seeing what products people manage to finish and whether they can’t live without them or if they never want to see it ever again.

So the title says ‘monthly empties’ but I have an enormous bag in my bedroom FULL of empties so it’s been going on for longer than a month. But nevermind. Let’s go!

Re Buy Or Bye Bye Monthly Empties Mini Review

Bioderma Micellaire Solution – Everyone and their mum rants about Bioderma so you don’t need to read another one. People talk about dupes but they lie, nothing is as good as the original Bioderma, I will REBUY forever. My parents get it for me in France so I find it for about £8 and is often in multipacks. It’s huge as well, so lasts for ages. You can get it in the UK HERE.

No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make Up Remover – I love duo-phase make up remover oils, they make such light work of waterproof mascaras and eyeliner. This one was very good and gentle on my eyes. I’d probably REBUY as you can get it with the No7 vouchers you always get in Boots. This is £8.50 HERE.

M&S Fig & Orange Oil Hand And Nail Cream – I love the scent of figs so this hand cream is a favourite. It’s a really good price as well (only 80p at the moment!) and are usually in 3 for 2! Definite REBUY, they’re perfect for handbags.

LOOK Beauty Stay-Put Loose Powder – I like to dust loose powder under my eyes to set my concealer and this one is very good. It ’s finely milled so doesn’t look cakey or heavy and lasts very well. It’s £7 and for the same price I think I prefer the Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder, so this one is a BYE-BYE.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – Holy. Guacamole. This stuff is incredible. Aaron got this for me in Japan last time he was there and I stocked up with 2 bottles when we went in February. It removes all make up, feels so luxurious and leaves my skin feeling so soft. You can now buy it from escentual.com but it’s a lot more expensive (200ml is £21.50 whereas I got it for about £4 in Tokyo!) but it does last ages. It’s a definite REBUY for me (I already have 2 backups!) If you can’t get to Tokyo (!) you can buy it HERE.

Batiste Dry Shampoo ‘Nourish & Enrich’ – I have an addiction to Batiste. I hate washing my hair (HATE IT. HATE.) so I get through a lot of the stuff. When I saw the new range come out that aims to care for hair while getting rid of grease I was thrilled and this bottle is my new favourite Batiste ‘flavour’. It doesn’t create build up if you use if for more than one day, smells INCREDIBLE and does make your hair feel softer and look shinier – so many dry shampoos make your hair matte and dull but this one is just fantastic. You can’t get this version in the huge cans yet which is annoying but it’s still worth it. REBUY. Get it HERE.

L’Oreal Paris False Lash Architect waterproof mascara – This is the mascara I wore on my wedding day which shows how highly I rate it. It’s seriously waterproof and gives lashes some proper oomph. It doesn’t really add any curl or length but I always curl my lashes anyway. I’d probably REBUY but already have a lot of mascara to get through! Get it HERE.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume Flash mascara – This is one my favourite mascaras of all time. It has everything. It’s volumising, lengthening, doesn’t smudge, doesn’t flake, doesn’t clump even with extra layers… and it’s about £7 HERE! REBUY – no brainer.

As I loved the original Scandaleyes mascara so much, when I got this Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara free with purchase I was pretty excited. It is DREADFUL. It is flakey, it made my eyes itch, it didn’t do anything to my eyelashes, it was just terrible. I used it twice and then threw it in my ‘empties’ bag as I didn’t want it anywhere near me. Such a big BYE-BYE! It looks like this has now been discontinued (so I was RIGHT *insert Cristina Yang in full on breakdown mode*) but you can still find stock HERE. Don’t do it!

E.L.F have recently stopped being sold in the UK which is a shame as I think some of their stuff was really great and well priced. However, these liquid eyeliner pens were not one of them. I got these in sale which may have been part of the problem but when they arrived they dried out after one use. Which is a shame as the colours were lovely: an emerald green and a royal purple. I had to throw them away after one try so a big waste of money! BYE-BYE!

Do you like these mini reviews? Or is it just me that’s super nosey?
