March was a good and a bad month. It started to get a bit lighter and my make up reflects that which is always exciting. We got back from Japan in the middle of February and my skin has a complete breakdown. March was the month of sorting my skin out so it was happy again.
Have a nosey at my most used and most loved products in March…
March ’15 Beauty and Lifestyle Favourites
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in ‘Pink Pong’ – I have 6 of these lip products and I am obsessed with them. An opaque formula that is easy to apply and dries down to the most beautiful and soft matte finish. It stays put through drinks and food and doesn’t dry out the lips. They are just incredible. Buy them HERE.
L’Oréal Paris Color Riche mono eyeshadow in ‘La Vie En Rose’ – These eyeshadow singles from L’Oreal Paris are fantastic. They have a few different finishes so they’re worth testing out in store to see what you like but the colour range isv very good and the formulas are really impressive. This is a rosy pink, strongly pigmented eyeshadow that has been making me feel ready for spring! You can get it HERE.
‘Pretty Honest’ by Sali Hughes – I’ve been a huge fan of Sali’s for ages. Her columns in the Guardian are brilliant and if you’re not a member of the forum on Sali Hughes Beauty then you’re really missing out. This book covers everything you would ever need to know about beauty: skin care, make up, hair, body, nails, EVERYTHING. She is a guru. Get it HERE.
Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blush in ‘Flush’ – I’ve spoken about this liquid blusher on the blog before as it is one of my favourites. As the weather is getting a bit warmer I’ve been leaning towards a dewier finish for my cheeks and so I’ve been reaching for this blusher a lot this month. You only need a tiny amount and it gives a lovely natural glow. You can buy it HERE.
Delicate rings from Japan – I have no idea of the name of the shop in which I bought these rings but I wanted everything in there! I love tiny, delicate rings and have a thing for both geometric angular ones and midi rings. These were about £2 each.
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 – Another product I’ve spoken about before. This is a wonder product that every household should have. It is a thick emollient type cream that is fantastic for dry patches or skin that feels angry and stressed. I had my worst rosacea flare up in years this month and this stuff helped so much. I cannot rave about it enough. You can get it HERE and you will not regret it.
Urban Decay ‘Eyeshadow Primer Potion’ – This is my everyday eyeshadow base and it helps even my oily eyelids to stay matte and keeps all eye make up in place. I don’t think it’s radically different in formula and results to the Too Faced eyeshadow insurance. Buy it HERE.
‘We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves’ by Karen Joy Fowler – I don’t want to say anything about the plot of this book in case I spoil it but it was a book I looked forward to reading every day. I actually looked forward to getting on the tube! Buy it HERE.
L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper – As you all know I love my strong brows. This brow gel is wonderful: it’s tinted so it can give definition, has tiny fibres in to bulk up sparse brows and keeps everything in place all day. It does dry hard so if you really hate crispy texture then it might not be for you. Get it HERE.
And that’s it, my monthly favourites for March! See anything that catches your eye?
