GOSH SS15 Beauty Collection

I have already done a nail art blog post featuring 2 of the GOSH SS15 collection nail varnishes, but wanted to show you some other exciting bits from the collection that I was sent this week. I don’t think I’d tried any GOSH make up products before so I was very intrigued to give them a go.

These are the nail polishes I used for this bit of beautiful nail art. These are pastel creme nail varnishes that come in gorgeous colours. From left to right we have ‘Sunkissed’ (a light coral), ‘French Dream’ (a pale, grey-toned lavender) and ‘Apple Bloom’ (a mint green). These are impressively opaque for pastel colours, I used two coats for each on the swatches below and there were no bald spots. I didn’t apply Seche Vite to show you how shiny these are without a top coat – pretty impressive! As you can see on the lids, the brushes are wide and rounded at the tips to make application super easy which I really like. I have long nails so those piddly little skinny brushes irritate me! These are £3.99 each.

The Primer+ Hydration caught my eye as it contains snow algae, which I’ve been hearing a lot about recently. It’s an anti-ageing ingredient that also protects the skin so I am all for that! I wear primer every day as I have a very oily t-zone. I find that this isn’t hardcore enough to stop my mid-afternoon shine, but I have been wearing it all over my face and my dry patches are definitely better so its hydrating properties are proven for me! This is £13.99 HERE.

Eyelight eyeshadow trio – I’m a big fan of mini eye palettes, ones that have all the shades you need for an eye look and this one is super pretty. This one has a white highlighting shadow, a very pale pink and a peach shade. These are very shimmery so if you’re more of a matte fan then these probably aren’t for you. I have been loving these for a subtle look. These are £6.99 (Feb 2016 edit: it looks like these are now discontinued in this format but you can get a similar palette HERE)

Xtreme mascara – This is a great mascara for when I have no time on a morning and need to get volume and definition without having to do a few layers. Like many mascara brushes coming out recently, one side has shorter bristles for really grabbing the eyelashes and a longer side for pulling them upwards and fanning them out. This isn’t waterproof so my oil eyelids meant I had a little bit of transfer right at the end of the day but nothing that would put me off using it. This is £7.49 HERE.

Xtreme Liquid Gel eyeliner – These made me go ‘ooooh!’ when I opened the package. Look at the colours! A lilac, a gunmetal grey and a bright blue. Yes please! These are waterproof and had no transfer when I tried them out and look beautiful. They do need a few layers to build up opacity as they tend to streak but I’m okay with that. They also have an iridescence to them that is so pretty and eye-catching, I really need more shades! I have swatches them further down… it’s hard to describe the shine! They are £5.99 which I think is really great for how long-lasting they are. (It looks like these are also now discontinued – argh! Here are some similar eyeliner pens)

Forever Lip Shine – You know how I feel about lip products. The more the merrier. I am a big fan of crayon-style lip sticks as you can thrown them in your bag and apply throughout the day without much need for care or attention. These are very creamy and have a high shine when you apply them but dry down to a semi-matte finish which I really like. They also twist up which I much prefer to the ones you have to sharpen. These are £6.99 and are probably my favourite release from this collection (Another product that is discontinued, sorry!)

Here are the swatches of the gel eyeliners – each swatch shows one stroke of the colour and then two layers so you can see how easy it is to build up the opacity. You could choose to only have one layer if you wanted a subtle look but I prefer the high impact colour!

This photo shows the iridescence in the gel eyeliner as it catches the light. So pretty!

Swatches of the Forever Lip Shines… so pretty and really impressive colour pay off for a crayon.

Do any of these stand out for you? Which are your favourites?

    Hi Lex,

thanks a lot for your posts. I am a completely anti-make-up person (‘anti’ meaning completely un-experienced, with shaky hands, only a few products at home, etc… not that I would not like it on others or in general :)).

I was woundering if you could from time to time make a post including also pictures of you wearing these products? Combining them and taking a picture for example of the eye make up you end up creating? Since one thing for me is to see the product coverage on your wrist/skin and another dimesnion would be to see how you “work” with them in real life.

    Many thanks!

    Veronika
