You may have heard of multi-masking. You may have known how to multi-mask for years. But, as with many things, this is one of the new buzzword when it comes to skincare so I thought I would do a quick video showing you how to multi-mask when you have sensitive skin like me.
I am a big believer in the restorative powers of a good face mask. They soothe you, make your skin look amazing and are a very quick and easy way to feel a bit pampered.
The concept of how to multi-mask is very simple: your skin has different needs on different parts of your face, so the mask you choose should target those needs. For me, my cheeks and forehead need moisture but something soothing, my nose and chin needs targeted blackhead removal, while around my brows needs a hand with dull and rough skin.
I’ve only used three of The Body Shop face masks* in this video but talk about all five:
Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask
British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask
Masks mentioned but not used in the video:
Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask
Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask
I hope you enjoyed this video, let me know in the comments below which mask appeals the most to you. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven’t already. To do that, click through to YouTube using the embedded video above.
I hope you enjoy this video!

Once you hear it it’s so obvious isn’t it… all those years of doing them separately!
The rose mask sounds perfect for me – I’ve not heard of multi masking but it makes sense.
Author
I love the rose mask and it smells incredible!
I’ve actually never heard of multi masking but it makes complete sense. Esp as around my nose is dry but my forehead is quite oily x
Author
It seems so obvious once you know about it, doesn’t it! I don’t think I could go back to ‘normal’ masking now.
Oh these masks look fantastic – I’m all about multi tasking at the minute as I seem to have zero time!
Author
I definitely relate to that! Makes so much sense to target all the different bits at once.
I’d like to try the ginseng and rice mask. It sounds really interesting.
Author
I think that would be the one that would give the most immediate results. All of them are wonderful though!
I really want to try these masks – I’ve honestly never even thought about multi-masking. I just usually whack something on my face and I’m done with it, so this is something I need to think about trying!

Same and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it sooner! Let me know if you give it a go 🙂
All the masks look great and its good to know that there are different ones for different parts of the face
Author
It makes so much sense to tailor the use to the needs of the different parts of your face, such a great idea!
I’ve never heard of multi masks before so thanks for enlightening me!
Author
You’re very welcome, thank you for watching!
This is a really cool way to get the most from your masks. Our skin can be so different in each part of the face.
Author
Mine is like 4 different people’s faces in one! Such a clever idea.
I have never thought of using multiple masks before, but this is such a good idea. I know different parts of my face have different needs so I will be doing this!
Author
Isn’t it clever? Can’t believe I didn’t think of it before!
I am a big fan of The Body Shop and never thought to do this! Thanks, have subscribed to your YouTube channel too 🙂
Author
Thank you so much! I can’t believe it took me so long to come round to the idea of multi masking, it’s so obvious when you think about it!
Those face masks look so good! I feel like trying one tonight now!
Author
I love a good face mask… so relaxing and only takes a few minutes. Perfect!
I have never heard of multi masks before but they sound absolutely brilliant. I love Body Shop too.
Author
The Body Shop is such a British staple, and their new launches are really great.
I love this idea and I am a big fan of multimasking, ive just never used The Body Shop masks before x
Author
I really recommend them – so gentle but effective!
What’s it like to get it all off? Looks fun and never thought of this before. Even as a man I use some face masks 🙂
Author
I give some tips at the end of the video 😉 the clay-based masks are a little trickier to get off but most of them just wipe off with a wet flannel. And my husband loves a face mask – they are genderless 🙂
I’ve never actually multi-masked before but I definitely want to give it a try X
Author
It makes so much sense, I really notice a difference afterwards!
This makes perfect sense if different parts of your face need attention in different ways, which a lot of people’s do. I’m just oily everywhere so one mask will do for me! x
Author
I’m super oily too so can sympathise! Certain areas are far too sensitive for the clay masks so this is ideal for me.
I’ve yet to try these! But I can’t wait because they look amazing!!
Author
They are really good, I hope you enjoy using them!
What a genius idea. This looks absolutely amazing and certainly something I need to invest in.
Author
It’s so clever isn’t it? I hope you enjoy the masks if you get some!
I have used a 2 in one mask before but this is definitely something a bit different. It sounds great.
Author
I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before, it’s such a great idea!
I love doing a face mask. I’ll check these ones out!
Author
It’s such a great (and quick) pamper idea, isn’t it? I hope you enjoy the masks if you pick some up!
I really need to buy this collection. It looks great!
Author
I have been really impressed, it’s hard to find skincare that works but it gentle enough for my sensitive skin.
This is a brilliant idea to treat each zone according to its specific needs!
Author
Isn’t it a wonderful concept? A great way to pamper even when your skin is temperamental!
I like to consider myself as being pretty up to date in the beauty world but have never heard of multi-masking before – oops!! What a great idea though.
Author
It seems so obvious when you think about it but for years I didn’t have any idea!
Multimasking is definitely having a moment! I’m in love with the rose mask.
Author
I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before! The rose mask is GORGEOUS!
