Some people love wandering around the shoe section in Selfridges. Some are happiest in Paperchase (which I *totally* get, that place is dreamy). For me, I could waste hours in Boots. Whether it’s in person – swatching make up all the way up my arm – or online where I repeatedly fill my online basket full of my skincare wishlist after doing hours of research on all the new releases. The return of the 3 for 2 deal means you can find your skincare favourite with Boots UK – come and see what I’m trying out this month!
This is a sponsored post in association with Boots UK.
If you read my blog regularly you will know that I was diagnosed with rosacea about 12 years ago. When I went to university my skin was ‘normal’: I had no skincare routine and barely wore make up (unless we’re counting the terrible raccoon-esque eyeliner, but the less said about that the better…!)
So when my rosacea developed I felt completely lost. I went to my doctor who prescribed an antibiotic topical cream which made my skin even worse. I lost faith in my GP and remember wandering the aisles of Boots looking for anything that said ‘calming’, ‘soothing’, ‘for redness’ – anything that would make me feel more comfortable and less self-conscious. A wonderful skincare advisor called Simone – I can’t believe I still remember her name! – listened to my issues and then introduced me to the Avène range. And that’s where my love affair began (…with Avène, not Simone!) This perfectly demonstrates how the Boots skincare advisors are always on hand to offer expert advice and information to help you find your skincare favourite, which can be a lifesaver when you feel baffled by the hundreds of products lined up on the shelves.
Boots understand that every skin type is unique which is so comforting for people like me who are limited with the products they can safely use. I used to be too scared to try anything new, terrified that one wrong step would result in a burning, purple face covered in itchy pimples but at Boots you can easily discover the right skincare for you. My advice is don’t be afraid to ask for help or worried that you have a silly question – the skincare advisors are there to make your life easier. I pester them whenever I go in about everything from ingredients, to packaging, to formulas. I’m surprised they don’t hide when they see me coming into the store!
This month I’m replacing my entire skincare routine with products you can pick up at Boots. As you all know, I’m a huge fan of highstreet skincare and the massive skincare offering at Boots meant I knew I’d have a huge choice of things to try. I’ve listed the products that I’m going to be using and I’ve tried out nearly every one before so, unlike some of my other trials, I have no concerns. You’ll find some of my all-time favourite brands below: Avène, La Roche Posay, Bioderma… if you look back through my blog these are names that come up time and again. And I feel incredible lucky that, not only have I found products that I know my skin loves but, I can buy them on any UK highstreet for an affordable price.
This skincare challenge is to celebrate the launch of 3 for 2 on selected skincare, with offers on over 1,000 skincare products – including all of the products I’m trying out! So if there’s something you’ve had your eye on for a while, it’s worth having a look on the website and treating yourself.
Here are the bits and pieces I’ll be trialling, so keep your eyes peeled for my summary post with reviews coming in the next few weeks. Products from left to right: Vichy Purete Thermale Relieving Solid Water Mask; Eau Thermale Avène Gentle Milk Cleanser; La Roche-Posay Rosaliac UV Light; Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips Combo 7 Nose Strips & 7 Face Strips; Avène Cleanance MAT Mattifying Emulsion; Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water.
Regardless of your skin type, Boots has so many products to choose from when it comes to caring for your face, so you’ll find everything you need to help keep your skin looking its best.
Have a peek at the Boots website to find your skincare favourite and save up to half price on some incredible skincare essentials at the same time. Yes, I’m an enabler and yes I’m proud of it – you can thank me later!

Really enjoyed that post, thank-you. I suffer from very sensitive skin and have to be so careful too when choosing products. La Roche-Posay is a big favourite already but I am going to try the Vichy Water mask now too 🙂 I am also loving the Caudalie Grape Water too, so refreshing and calming over or under make-up. Thanks again for the post, best wishes x
Have you ever tried the anti redness version of the Bioderma Micellar water (I think it is called Créaline AR) ?
I’m just impressed at how many ‘luxury’ skincare brands you can get at Boots!
