Skincare Shake Up: The Dermatologist Edition

Things have been a little quiet on the blog in the past 6 months and we are long overdue a catch up about my skin as a lot has happened and I’ve had a lot of questions on instagram and FB about how I’ve been coping with it. So get settled for my Skincare Shake Up, covering the past few months.

Skincare Shake Up: July and August ’18 Edition

I decided to combine July and August’s Skincare Shake Up post as my skin has been a bit tricky recently and I wanted to make absolutely sure that my skincare wasn’t contributing to that. It’s been flipping warm in the UK, I did some travelling, and I’ve also had a busy and stressful couple of months with work – a perfect storm for reactive skin. So welcome to a bumper Skincare Shake Up post!

Skincare Shake Up: June 2018 Edition

I typically post one Skincare Shake Up post a month to show you what I’m using and what has made the cut, but some of you have noticed that I skipped May. I had been trying a few new products and wanted to give them a little bit of time because summer weather and rosacea are not a fun combination at the best of times, but adding in unknown products? Potentially disastrous! So both of the skincare routines below have been in place for two months.

Skincare Shake Up: April ’18 Edition

Hopefully you’ll all be familiar with the format of my Skincare Shake Up posts, but just in case you’re new here: every month I post a round up of the products I used in the previous month so I can share my thoughts with you. There are usually some tried and trusted favourites that have popped up year after year, but I also try out new products and formulas. I have rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis so my skin is very picky about the products it likes. I try to include information any potential irritants in the summary of each product as I know that some products that are great for my skin might not be appropriate for others. I’m not a trained dermatologist, I have just tried A LOT of products over the past 13 years and wanted to share my experiences. Right! Enough waffle… let’s crack on with my Skincare Shake Up: April ’18 edition!

Skincare Shake Up: March ’18 Edition

I am never fully satisfied with my skincare routine. I am a total hussy when it comes to new products, always wondering if THE product that will transform my skin is just around the corner. I like to find affordable versions of high end products, I like to find independent brands who fill their skincare with as much love as they do science, and I also try to find things that suit all pockets and preferences. Every month when I select new products to try, I get really excited and I always look forward to telling you about them. So I’m pleased to present last month’s Skincare Shake Up featuring a few old favourites, new additions, and some exciting brand-new launches.

My current skincare routine: La Roche Posay HyaluB5 (rosacea, sensitive skin)
