LA Colours Magnetic Force NP415

The super lovely @FabFingertips1 sent me this beautiful polish as nail mail and I swatched it ages ago but completely forgot to take photos. So here it is, finally! LA Colours Magnetic Force NP415 is a coral pink creme polish with a gorgeously summery gold shimmer when it catches the light. LA Colour polishes are very affordable (I think they’re about £1 in the places near me which is ridiculous).

This polish is perfect in two coats. If you can get your hands on some LA Colours, I really recommend them. You can see the full range on their website HERE.

Nail challenge: Day 25 – ‘Inspired by fashion’

Good evening 🙂

Today’s theme was ‘Inspired by fashion’ and I immediately thought of the below top by Balmain. It is so beautiful I would consider selling my own mother to get it.

I did 2 coats of white polish (Rimmel) and applied fast-drying top coat (ORLY Sec ‘n’ Dry). I then used 17’s ‘Fury’ and some strategically-placed tape to achieve most of the straight lines. I used a tiny paintbrush to freehand the rest.

I applied another layer of top coat and then used my favourite glitter polish (Models Own ‘Judge Jools’) and a spotting tool to go over the gold.

The above pictures are artificial light as the glitter showed up better in that for some reason. I took the ones below in natural light.

For my right hand I did 2 coats of the white polish and then topped with one layer of the Models Own glitter. It looks so Christmassy!! I love it!!

(Again, first pic in artificial light, no flash, and second pic in natural light)

Nail challenge: Day 8 – ‘Metallic’

Today’s challenge is ‘metallic’. I’m not the biggest fan of metallics as I think they look a bit teenage-y so I knew that I wanted to do something that wasn’t a simple mani.

I put on two coats of a Miss Sporty gold (I think it’s just called 312…we’ve spoken before about my hatred of polishes with no names, I won’t go into it again!). It was looking very 80s and not in a good way, so I added the GOSH matte coat.

After this had dried, I simply added the black tips (using L.A. Colours ‘Circuits’).

I tried to take the photos in different lights to show the effect of this mani. I really love the contrast between the matte gold and the super-shiny black polish.

Tomorrow’s theme is ‘Rainbow’ which doesn’t leave many options for doing something different, but should at least be colourful!
