Lac Attack Dementor’s Kiss
My Lac Attack polishes arrived today and it was so hard to decide which to swatch first. I really love white, black and red as a colour combination so I picked Lac Attack Dementor’s Kiss.
This is a clear-based polish with multi-sized black hex glitter and large red hex glitter. Swoon!
These pictures show one coat of ‘Dementor’s Kiss’ over one coat of OPI’s ‘Skull and Glossbones’, with a top coat of Seche Vite. I am so impressed by the glitter and application. It almost reminds me of lace from far away.
I am so glad I got these polishes, I am seriously thrilled with them!

OPI Do You Think I’m Tex y nail varnish
I was very excited to try this polish as it’s a new finish called ‘sorbet’. OPI brought this out in the Texas Collection last year and I have been so intrigued. Sorbets are slightly sheer polishes that dry to a really high shine. This is a sumptuous berry-fuschia that is so flattering.
This took 4 coats to achieve this opacity and this is no top coat so you can see just how beautifully shiny it is. The VNL does bother me, but that’s probably more noticeable because my nails are so long, with shorter nails you probably wouldn’t even see it.
If you want to see some other polishes from the OPI Texas collection, I’ve reviewed Do You Think I’m Tex-y HERE, It’s Totally Fort Worth It HERE, and Y’All Come Back Ya Hear?’ HERE.
I can’t find this polish for sale online anymore, but you can see all of the beautiful OPI nail varnish ranges HERE.
This is the beautiful OPI ‘Animal-istic’ nail varnish. Look at that glow!
OPI At First Sight Nail Varnish
This is a super pretty ivory, pearl-finish polish with a gold glow. This needed 3 fairly thick coats to get rid of the visible nail line, and was then topped with a layer of Seche Vite. It’s not really my kind of polish as I prefer bright colours and I’m not a fan of pearl finishes typically… but it’s very pretty and I think it would look lovely on shorter nails. Maybe the pearl effect coupled with my long nails makes it look a bit 80s?
OPI ‘Gouda Gouda Two Shoes’ Nail Varnish
This beauty is actually my third polish from OPI’s 2012 Holland collection. If you want to see the other polishes I own from that range, ‘Thanks A Windmillion’ is reviewed HERE (on my old square nails which now look seriously AWFUL compared to my almond nails), and the bright and beautiful ‘A Roll In The Hague’ is reviewed HERE.
