I’m having a bit of a wobble. If you usually come to my blog for nails and lipstick the maybe you should skip this one… if you keep scrolling there are some BEAUTIFUL Ciaté polishes swatched right below this post!

I’ve set this week’s Friday Faves post to go live automatically as I am currently holidaying in the South of France. I’m so fancy… no, I’m not really. The reason I had to schedule it is because my parents live in the middle of flipping nowhere and their internet goes down ALL the time and it’s like visiting people who live in caves. So if you comment below (please do, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy) I’m not ignoring you, I’m just having enforced no-screen time.

I am incredibly lazy with my hair. I thought that when I cut it into a bob I would be inspired to blow dry it, style it… do *anything* with it. But no: I rough-dry it, straighten my fringe and leave the rest to fend for itself.
With this in mind, the concept of blow dry bars is music to my ears. They’ve been around in the US for ages and they’re finally getting bigger over here, much to my joy. The concept is simple: you pop in, have your hair washed and styled and you’re good to go. Such a great idea if you have a night out or busy weekend or just want to treat yourself.

I’m always on the look out for my next nail varnish discovery and was very excited when this brand popped into my inbox. Described as a luxurious boutique nail polish brand, HJ Manicure nail varnish is named after its founder, Helen J: a former model who trained as a nail technician and worked as a session manicurist… so she definitely knows her nail varnish!
The slogan of my blog might as well be “…I don’t even *like* blue nail varnish!” If you’ve seen my huge nail varnish sort and destash video you will have witnessed my utter confusion at how I’ve managed to accumulate such a large amount of blue nail varnishes when I (claim that I) don’t even like blue nail varnish on me. So this cobalt nail varnish comparison post is a bit of a shock to me too!
