Vitamin C is one of those ingredients that everyone in-the-know swears by, but I’ve always felt a bit nervous about. I didn’t feel like I knew enough about it and when I started to investigate, I felt completely overwhelmed. Thankfully Dermatica stepped in to help me out. Regular readers will know that I have happily outsourced the more complicated parts of my skincare routine to them (I’ve been using their rosacea formula on and off since 2021 – you can read the full review of that HERE) and that now includes the Dermatica Vitamin C 15% Fresh Batch Ascorbic Acid.

I think I might be clairvoyant. At the end of my review of the Dermatica skincare range, I wrote this: “The only thing that’s missing from this range is a sunscreen… and I’m still crossing my fingers that Dermatica are going to get involved with that area in the future, because can you imagine how good it would be?!” … And now here I am with a Dermatica sunscreen review!

If you follow Dermatica on social media, you may have seen a lot of excitement as they have just launched an entire skincare range. I have been sworn to secrecy about this launch, but I have already been trying the products for the past two months so here is my full Dermatica skincare range review (with a great discount code as well!)

Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that I changed up my Dermatica personalised formula towards the end of last year. I had been using the Dermatica rosacea treatment for over a year and wanted to spice things up a little so – after consulting the Dermatica Dermatology Team – we introduced Vitamin A (AKA retinoid) into my monthly treatment. I’ve been using the new treatment for 3 months so here’s my full review.
Don’t forget that I have an exclusive discount code for you, so if you’re keen to try Dermatica for yourself, you can find the details at the end of the post.
I have been talking about rosacea on my blog for nearly 10 years and one of the most common questions I get is about prescription treatments. I hadn’t used a prescription rosacea treatment for nearly 16 years so I am very excited to share the results after using my Dermatica treatment for 3 months.
In case you’ve not heard of Dermatica, they offer custom-made, prescription skincare treatments and they were the first in the UK to offer an online prescription-strength, evidence-based rosacea treatment tailored to your personal needs. Their goal is to make skincare treatments accessible and affordable for everyone. Shall we get into the details?
JAN ’23 UPDATE: I’ve now been using Dermatica for 17 months and am still really happy with it. I have recently tweaked my formula to include retinoids/Vitamin A – you can read my full review of the new formula HERE.
