In the past month I’ve spent over 24 hours on board an aeroplane. Typically I would dread flights – firstly because I hate, hate, hate flying and spend the whole time convinced we’re all going to die… but secondly because my skin always kicks off after a flight. However, that all changed this time and a lot of people on instagram asked me to share my tips on how to deal with rosacea and long haul flights. Ask and you shall receive!
Let me start with an apology – my Skincare Shake Up for December is a little bit late. In case you didn’t know, my blog was hacked over New Year. URGH. This would have been a faff and expensive to sort out at any time, but it happened while I was on holiday on the other side of the world… which made things so much more difficult! BUT, we are back up and running and so I’m finally getting to post all of the content I wanted to post while I was away. So please excuse the tardiness of this round up: here are the products that made up my skincare routine in December.
As a beauty blogger I try out a *lot* of make up; receiving exciting new launches and getting to play with products is one of the best parts of my job. As I have new and interesting things arriving all the time, I tend to be a bit of a floozy with my products, jumping from one to the next fairly regularly. But as I looked back over blog posts and instagram selfies from the past year I noticed a few products that cropped up time and again, some products that I tended to reach for more than others, ones that found a permanent place on my dressing table. So here, for your reading pleasure, are my 2017 Beauty Favourites.
I think I may have been a magpie in a previous life. Show me anything shiny or eye-catching and consider my interest well and truly piqued. I tend to wear glitter all year, but you know… ’tis the season, so let’s all embrace the shimmer. Here’s my glowy make up edit… prepare to be dazzled!
December is the month of parties, catching up with friends and drinks after work, many of which are planned at 4.45pm… so I’ve pulled together 10 products that will add a little drama to your day-time look and help you go from desk to dancefloor. Obviously you don’t have to use all 10, these are just little ideas you can pick and choose from depending on the look you’re going for! I’ve tried to find products that are small enough to fit in a desk drawer or handbag and can be applied quickly and easily… because who wants to be applying tons of make up when you could be taking full advantage of happy hour on the company credit card?
