It’s been a while since I did my last skincare update, so who would like to see a year of lockdown skincare in one post? All of the bits and pieces I’ve tried over the past year, sorted by product type. Let’s go…

Stress is my number one rosacea trigger. Over the years I have learned my triggers and changed almost every aspect of my life in order to work around my skin. I’ve altered my diet, I plan entire days around the temperature (inside and outside), but because stress is often outside of my control I’ve also learned how to relax and switch off my mind, look after my body, and listen to my skin. Every person’s triggers are different, but I wanted to share my ultimate ways to reduce stress.
This blog post is in proud collaboration with Murad.

Some of you may have seen that we adopted a dog. His name is Douglas and he is the best thing that has ever happened to us. However, one of the downsides of having a dog is their need to pee outside, even when it’s freezing cold outside with horizontal sleet that soaks you through and makes you feel like your skin is peeling off. My winter skincare routine adapts each year, but this winter I think I’ve really nailed my added extras. Some of the winter skincare products below are ones that I’ve loved for years, alongside some new favourites, hopefully you’ll find one that appeals and can help you.

When I first started this blog, I used to try out new skincare all the time. Those of you who have been here a while will remember that I used to do monthly Skincare Shake Ups, where I would switch up my whole routine at the start of each month. I did this partly because I flipping love skincare and am always on the hunt for the newest thing that might transform my skin, but partly I did it so that I could better give advice to more people. I get a lot of questions asking for affordable options, some want luxury treats, others want vegan options, or at least cruelty-free options, or products available in specific countries, things from independent brands, things available online… the list is endless and I wanted to try to find things that worked for any or all of you. Sadly, as we all know, sensitive skin – and particularly rosacea – thrives on routine. My skin has never been happier since I stopped switching skincare so often, relying on my tried and true products that I know won’t let me down.
Because of this, I tend to turn down most new product launches unless they’re offering something new, exciting, or different. Which brings me to today’s blog post: a SVR Sensifine skincare range review.

As you will know if you have rosacea, one of the biggest triggers is stress… so it stands to reason that I’ve had a recent upswing in messages, comments, and emails from fellow sufferers who have seen their skin becoming more irritated, with flare ups becoming more regular and more severe. Annoyingly, another common trigger seems to be the face masks that people are wearing to protect themselves and others. Carry on reading for some tips on how to minimise the impact of face masks on your skin…
