‘Tis the season for summer city breaks, beach holidays, or escaping to cooler climes. A few months ago I put some of my rosacea-friendly travel tips on instagram stories and had SO many questions afterwards, so I thought I would put all of my tips in one post.
As we speak I am on holiday, visiting my parents in France. I say ‘holiday’, but when you’re a freelancer it can be very difficult to switch off so I’ve still got my nose in my laptop for most of the day while I’m here. The only difference is that there’s a dog at my feet and lots of free wine… which is pretty much the dream! Anyway, enough rambling – are you ready for some Friday Faves?
As soon as we arrived in Japan three years ago, we were already talking about our next visit. We both just fell in love with everything about it. And at the start of 2018, we got to go back for three incredible weeks. There were a few things that were different about this holiday (we had more confidence in speaking Japanese, we visited fewer typically touristy areas, etc) but the biggest change for me was my diet. Since I last visited I’ve become a lot stricter with what I eat and when I mentioned this on Instagram, lots of people asked me how I survived a holiday in Japan with food intolerances. Ask and you shall receive!
This week has flown by – I’ve only been in London for 3 days and I actually took last weekend off which is very unlike me! It was lovely to have a break from work, but it also meant that I had to fit a week’s worth of work into 3 days… not ideal! Anyway, are you ready for Friday Faves? Don’t forget to leave your recommendations in the comments – I love hearing what you’ve been watching, reading, listening to, trying out and eating!
This year has felt about 6 years long. So much has happened, both close to home and all over the world and I’ll be honest, I’ll be happy to see the back of 2016. But for every awful thing that happened this year, there are lots of happy things to commemorate and celebrate. So here is my 2016 in review!
