Rimmel 332 Baby Pink Nail Varnish

Rimmel 332 Baby Pink Nail Varnish

Rimmel 332 Baby Pink Nail Varnish

Today’s swatch is Rimmel’s excitingly named (!!) ‘Baby Pink’: a pretty bright Barbie pink creme polish.

This is two coats with Seche Vite on top (as always). I’m not a massive fan of baby pink but this is bright enough for me to quite like it!

This polish range is no longer widely available, but has been replaced with the Rimmel Salon Pro range which is great. You can see the current range HERE. If you want this EXACT polish, you can still find it online HERE (please note I’ve never bought from that particular website so I’m not sure on delivery or quality).

Models Own Aciiied Nail Varnish

My lovely fiance built me a light box and I am in love. I don’t have to wait for the 20 seconds in a British day where there is daylight to take photos! It is amazing!

This is Models Own Aciiied nail varnish, a bright neon lime green that is as pretty as it is garish. I love bright colours and this is definitely a new favourite. This is two coats with a Seche Vite topcoat.

It doesn’t look like this nail varnish is available from Models Own anymore, but there may be a similar one in the neon ‘polish for tans’ range HERE.

Gabrini 363 Nail Varnish

Gabrini 363 Nail Varnish

Today’s swatch is the excitingly-named Gabrini 363 nail varnish (I HATE polishes with no names… it just seems like such a missed opportunity for fun!)

So apparently Pantone’s colour of the year for 2013 is Emerald which is wonderful news as green is my all time favourite colour. And this nail varnish definitely fits the emerald bill. This is a lovely dark green shimmer polish that has a beautiful glow in the light. This makes me feel quite Christmassy!

This is two coats of Gabrini 363 nail varnish topped with my usual Seche Vite.

You can find Gabrini’s full range HERE, although for some reason that website says that number 363 is a red polish… perhaps they’ve changed the names since I bought this! Worth bearing in mind before ordering though.

Rosacea: What I’ve Learnt So Far

Rosacea: What I’ve Learnt So Far

As I described in my last blog post, my rosacea is largely under control at the moment. I have altered my diet, habits and reactions to stress to accommodate it.

However, even when I’m not having a flare up, my skin is always red. This is partly due to my natural complexion but also down to the broken veins that come part and parcel with rosacea. Every time you flush, veins break in your face and these cannot be healed (they can be removed with scary lasers which I have accepted I will have to do at some point in the future).

Therefore I am on a constant quest to find cosmetics that 1) cover my redness without 2) aggravating my rosacea. This is a lot trickier than it sounds. Hopefully the following advice/tips will be helpful to anyone with rosacea or sensitive skin.
