RosaceaReview Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Range

RosaceaReview Burt's Bees Sensitive Skin Range

At the start of July I was sent the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Range. I was pretty excited as I didn’t even know that Burt’s Bees did a range for atypical skin. Burt’s Bees have a great ethos: a history of natural, ethical and high quality products. According to the website, the sensitive skin range has Cotton Extract, which helps “skin replenish its outer layer, shielding it from potential irritants”.

Because of my rosacea, I’m very wary of new products. I always start them on a Friday evening so that I can hide in the house for 2 days if I have a flare up or a reaction. When applying a new product I’m like a coiled spring, waiting for the burning or stinging to start.

So I was very happy to find that this range was not only gentle but was also a pleasure to use.

KeraStraight Ultimate Treatment Fringe Straightening Review – Trevor Sorbie, Covent Garden

KeraStraight Ultimate Treatment Fringe Straightening Review - Trevor Sorbie

A few weeks ago I was invited to the Trevor Sorbie salon in Covent Garden for a KeraStraight Ultimate treatment. If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you may remember that I had a KeraStraight treatment last year (which you can read about HERE) which was amazing. I feel like people throw around the term ‘life-changing’. But for me, not having to straighten my hair every single day and being able to forget about frizz completely for 3 months… that’s pretty life-changing!

Since I’ve had my hair cut shorter, it’s a lot more manageable but I’d forgotten how much work goes into a fringe when you have wavy hair. I would have to blow dry it, but the underside would still be frizzy and had a stubborn kink. And of course as soon as it rained or became humid, it would start to curl up. So the idea of getting my a semi-permanent treatment on my fringe filled me with pure joy!

Mani Monday Marble Nail Art

Mani Monday Marble Nail Art

I have wanted to do marble inspired nail art for ages and I’m pretty pleased with the results. I was just making it up as I went along so it’s definitely something I’ll revisit, I think some more detailing with darker shades will give it even more impact and make it look more realistic.

Jackson Pollock Inspired Nail Art

Jackson Pollock Inspired Nail Art

When we went to New York we had an afternoon in the Museum Of Modern Art and it was wonderful. There were so many paintings that I never thought I would see in person and those by Jackson Pollock were a particular highlight. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to try to recreate it on my nails.
