At the beginning of 2019 I set myself a reading challenge of 52 books. I wanted to push myself, to encourage myself to embrace a hobby that didn’t require a screen and I found that having that challenge in the back of my mind really helped to keep my motivated. (NB – Before people message me, I’ve called this the ‘best books of 2019’ although, as you’ll see, this list isn’t necessarily books that were published last year, just the ones that I read!)
Some of you may know that I’ve set myself a reading challenge this year (through GoodReads if you would like to join in). I am aiming to read 52 books in 2019, and I’m currently on track having read 33 so far. I have quite varied taste in books – I always have a crime/murder/ghost story book on the go but apart from that I am pretty open to anything.
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some Friday Faves – things have been a bit manic, but more on that later! This edition of Friday Faves is a hodge-podge of things that have been making me very happy recently so let me know if any of these catch your eye, and don’t forget to tell me your current faves in the comments below – I love hearing all of your recommendations.
