I try to follow the latest news and updates when it comes to rosacea and I’ve been wanting to write a post addressing the changes to the rosacea classifications for a while… but every time I sit down to write I get bogged down in the scientific jargon and lose interest! But I’ve finally done it – I’ve waded through numerous scientific papers and press releases and broken things down in layman’s terms.
Every few months the Escentual French Pharmacy sale rolls around but this time I’ve been so caught up with Rosacea Awareness Month that I didn’t even realise that the sale had started. But do not fear, I’ve put together an updated list of my favourite French skincare bits in case you wanted to grab a last minute bargain (up to 1/3 off all French Pharmacy products so it’s worth stocking up!) and to also serve as a reference point in the future. French skincare has long been my go-to, so here’s a list of what I would recommend for anyone, but especially those with rosacea or sensitive skin.
Things have been a little quiet on the blog in the past 6 months and we are long overdue a catch up about my skin as a lot has happened and I’ve had a lot of questions on instagram and FB about how I’ve been coping with it. So get settled for my Skincare Shake Up, covering the past few months.
I have been talking about and recommending the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 on this blog for many years. I first discovered it in France when I would wander around the pharmacies for hours, picking up bottles and tubes and buying anything that said ‘soothing’, ‘cooling’ or ‘for sensitive skin’. Recently La Roche-Posay released Cicaplast Gel B5 and I have been trying it out for a few months, wanting to gather my thoughts before I shared them with you.
I am never fully satisfied with my skincare routine. I am a total hussy when it comes to new products, always wondering if THE product that will transform my skin is just around the corner. I like to find affordable versions of high end products, I like to find independent brands who fill their skincare with as much love as they do science, and I also try to find things that suit all pockets and preferences. Every month when I select new products to try, I get really excited and I always look forward to telling you about them. So I’m pleased to present last month’s Skincare Shake Up featuring a few old favourites, new additions, and some exciting brand-new launches.
