A year ago I set myself a target of reading 75 books in 2020. Obviously back then we didn’t know that this year would be unlike any other…! If you’re looking for a new book to sink your teeth into, read on. Here is my 2020 in books…

A year ago I set myself a target of reading 75 books in 2020. Obviously back then we didn’t know that this year would be unlike any other…! If you’re looking for a new book to sink your teeth into, read on. Here is my 2020 in books…
At the beginning of 2019 I set myself a reading challenge of 52 books. I wanted to push myself, to encourage myself to embrace a hobby that didn’t require a screen and I found that having that challenge in the back of my mind really helped to keep my motivated. (NB – Before people message me, I’ve called this the ‘best books of 2019’ although, as you’ll see, this list isn’t necessarily books that were published last year, just the ones that I read!)
Some of you may know that I’ve set myself a reading challenge this year (through GoodReads if you would like to join in). I am aiming to read 52 books in 2019, and I’m currently on track having read 33 so far. I have quite varied taste in books – I always have a crime/murder/ghost story book on the go but apart from that I am pretty open to anything.
I’m setting myself a hard limit of under 900 words for this blog post. If I don’t restrict myself I could ramble all day about my recommendations – I really love writing these Friday Faves round up posts as it means I get to natter about things other than beauty.
In case you’ve missed it I’ve been in France for the past three weeks, so this edition of Friday Faves contains a lot of the products and things that I was loving while I was over there. Don’t forget to tell me all of the things you are loving at the moment, I really look forward to your recommendations!
