CLEANSERS FOR ROSACEA: Cleansers I Love

Skincare is a topic that comes up regularly because it can be such an overwhelming area for people, even without the added complication of a skin condition. I wanted to share my current cleansers for rosacea options as I am often asked what my ‘favourite’ cleansers are. I actually find the term ‘favourites’ largely unhelpful because I use many different products – my bathroom, dresser, and bedside table are all cluttered with multiple bottles, pots, and tubes. I tend to select different products based on the season, how my rosacea is feeling, where I am, what I’ve been doing that day… it’s rarely a one-product-fits-all situation. I also love trying products out so that I can recommend you something that might work for you, which means I always have an eye out for something new or interesting.

The Best Cleansers For Rosacea and Sensitive Skin

I have been writing about my rosacea for nearly 9 years and in that time I have spoken about hundreds of skincare products. Some were incredible, some were good but just not for me, some were overhyped, and a few were absolutely terrible. I’ve been sharing these reviews with you on here in various forms, but mainly my Skincare Shake Up posts. Understandably people feel a little lost when they see the sheer scale of skincare advice on this blog, and I often get the question ‘yes but which are the best cleansers for rosacea? Which are your favourites?’ So here you go…

(I have also written a post about ‘the best moisturisers for rosacea‘ if you are looking for more skincare tips).

SVR Sensifine Review – An Affordable Saviour For Rosacea Sensitive Skin

When I first started this blog, I used to try out new skincare all the time. Those of you who have been here a while will remember that I used to do monthly Skincare Shake Ups, where I would switch up my whole routine at the start of each month. I did this partly because I flipping love skincare and am always on the hunt for the newest thing that might transform my skin, but partly I did it so that I could better give advice to more people. I get a lot of questions asking for affordable options, some want luxury treats, others want vegan options, or at least cruelty-free options, or products available in specific countries, things from independent brands, things available online… the list is endless and I wanted to try to find things that worked for any or all of you. Sadly, as we all know, sensitive skin – and particularly rosacea – thrives on routine. My skin has never been happier since I stopped switching skincare so often, relying on my tried and true products that I know won’t let me down.

Because of this, I tend to turn down most new product launches unless they’re offering something new, exciting, or different. Which brings me to today’s blog post: a SVR Sensifine skincare range review.

Review of the SVR Sensifine skincare range. I tested out the hero products and wrote about how my rosacea fared with this simple, minimal ingredient range. Skincare for sensitive skin, best skincare for rosacea. Why is French skincare so good?

Skincare Shake Up: January ’18 Edition

I was in two minds about doing a Skincare Shake Up for January. For most of the month I was in Japan, which means that I was relying on products that I’d already used. If you have sensitive or awkward skin, you will know that a holiday can cause all sorts of issues with your skin: flights, change in diet, the water (hard water is the devil!), disrupted sleep, temperature changes… it all adds up. So when I travel, I tend to stick with what I know.

July Skincare Shake Up 2016

If anything is guaranteed to get me excited, it’s skincare. I used to hate anything to do with skin because my rosacea would flare up at the drop of a hat. I was terrified and so I just used the same products over and over and tried to ignore the reactions, as I felt it was better the devil you know. I have now reached a point where I know my skin a lot better and actually look forward trying new products as I am so excited to find the next thing my skin loves. Do you want to hear all of the products I’ve discovered in my July Skincare Shake Up?
