It feels so strange to talk about December ’16 as it feels like a million years ago! But here is my (belated) Skincare Shake Up December edition. You know how this goes, so let’s just get going before I waffle even more than usual!

This morning I woke up to the wondrous news that the Escentual French pharmacy sale is BACK. Every three months or so this incredible sale rolls around and I lose all self control. I asked on Twitter if people would like a ‘what should I buy, please enable me’ blog post and a lot of you said yes, so here it is: the 15 products you need from the Escentual French Pharmacy Sale.

I really look forward to these Skincare Shakeup posts – I love trying out new skincare and wish I had more than one face so I could try out new products more often, but I feel like a month is a good amount of time to get an idea of whether something suits me and agrees with my temperamental rosacea skin. Let’s dive in to my Skincare Shakeup May 2016 edition!

I somehow managed to miss March’s Skincare Shake Up completely. I’m very sorry – no one noticed – so I’ve decide to combine March and April’s products into one massive Skincare Shake Up bumper edition! So if you’re a fan of skincare, or looking for some new recommendations, look no further…
It’s a long one so get comfy!

Bioderma Micellar Water has been a secret weapon of many make up artists and knowledgable skin care obsessives for a long time but it was only available in France. Luckily, it launched in the UK this year to much fanfare! It’s still a lot cheaper in France so I stock up whenever I go over. Bioderma hoarding formed a big part of my French parapharmacie haul which you’ll be seeing a lot more from on the blog in the coming weeks.
Micellar water is a gentle cleanser with microscopic oil molecules. It doesn’t foam, it doesn’t need to be washed off and you can do it in bed. What more could you possibly want? You apply it to a cotton pad and it takes off all make up in a few swipes (even stubborn mascaras and eyeliner). Washing my face with normal, foaming cleansers aggravates my rosacea sometimes so this option is wonderful.
I think you can get this for about £10 at Boots but this was about 5 euros so I am still going to stock up whenever I nip over to France!
Has anyone else tried Bioderma, or any other micellar water cleansers?
