When I started my blog (on Tumblr, about 7 years ago!) I focused on nails, partly because I loved a good manicure but more importantly because a blog filled with nails meant that I never had to show my face. I have rosacea, a skin condition that currently has no cure, and it makes me so self-conscious that even now it’s a struggle to take and publish photos. This is my rosacea story, in collaboration with Eau Thermale Avène.
Another month, another Skincare Shake Up! I think skincare is one of my favourite things to talk about, I love discovering new products and get really excited knowing I can share them with you. There are some proper gems in this month’s post (hello, new affordable liquid exfoliator!) so let’s get going!
This morning I received a press release, which in itself is nothing new: I get so many that I tend to just skim then delete them. But this one caught my eye as it’s a topic that I’ve often thought about and discussed with friends: make up free selfies and photo editing.
Today’s post is all about going to the doctor when you suspect you may have rosacea. I have a lot of blog posts that talk about how to live with rosacea but I realised that a lot of worry and confusion comes before you know whether you actually have the condition!
