La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur

When I was given the new La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur* at an event I thought it sounded interesting but I was put off by the ‘BB’ aspect. I’m a huge fan of Japanese BB creams but the UK versions are a totally different beast: light coverage, dewy and nowhere near suitable for covering my rosacea redness. However, I am happy to say I was very wrong about this little tube of magic.

The Things You Need From Sephora

I get a lot of questions from people on Twitter and instagram about what I would recommend from Sephora. We don’t have the black and white store of dreams in the UK (anymore) so when people find themselves abroad and in store… it can be a bit overwhelming. So I am here to help, with my recommendations of the things you need from Sephora.

Avene PhysioLift Anti Ageing Skincare For Sensitive Skin

I have loved Avène for a long time: they are a sensitive-skinned girl’s best friend so if you haven’t tried them out already, jump to it! I was invited to the launch of this exciting new product: Avène PhysioLift Anti Ageing skincare for sensitive skin*. If you have sensitive/rosacea prone skin like me, you will know the struggle to find skincare that really *works*, without aggravating your skin.

Skincare Shake Up – December

If you’ve followed me for a while, you will know that I try out a lot of skincare: I have a few staple products that I rely on and return to when my rosacea is flaring up, but I am essentially a fickle person. I always wonder what else out there and am constantly searching for the next product to introduce to the skincare hall of fame. So I’m going to start doing a Skincare Shake Up post, roughly every month.

L’Oréal Paris Color Riche 30 Years Lipstick Collection

2015 marked the 30th anniversary of the iconic Color Riche range which resulted in the beautiful L’Oréal Paris Color Riche 30 Years Lipstick Collection. I bought these lipsticks in February (that must be a record) but completely forgot to blog about them *slaps wrist*.

There are lots of shades in the range but I picked these 5 as they stood out to me as the colours from which I would get the most wear over different seasons. The colours I chose, from left to right, were:

  • 130 Androgyne (matte) – A pretty, chalky baby pink that looks amazing with a smokey eye.
  • 132 Magnolia Irreverence (satin) – A striking fuchsia pink with a blue base.
  • 134 Rose Royale (satin) – A slightly softer, but still very eye-catching, pink.
  • 229 Cliché Mania (matte) – A true orange lipstick that I was nervous to wear but looks beautiful on, especially in the summer.
  • 430 Mon Jules (matte) – A dark berry red that has really come into its own now the weather is colder.
