Our wedding: the venue and the speeches
This is the third instalment in the wedding blog series. You can see my Wedding Get Ready With Me HERE and the ceremony blog HERE. As with the others, this is pretty photo heavy so get a cup of tea and get comfy!
As with the other blogs, these photos are all by On Love And Photography who are INCREDIBLE. Let’s go!
Booze and hugs all round. I love this photo of me and my mum.
The wonderful Amy and Brad who performed amazingly beautiful songs while we got drunk in the glorious sunshine:
Can you sense our relief that we have the scary bit over and done with?
Table settings…
…including boozy party favours of course.
My dad’s speech was hilarious and swung wildly between him saying lovely or humiliating things. I think this was the section on teen boyfriends…
Luckily the best man’s speech focused on embarrassing Aaron as much as possible so it all evened out.
There were a lot of heads in hands.
We decided to get the cake from Marks & Spencers: it wasn’t something that either of us was particularly bothered about, so we decided to save money there and spend it on something else (*cough* the dress *cough*) The cake was topped with flowers from Fiona Hogg and twitter birds from Etsy as cake toppers (as a nod to the fact that we met on twitter).
The first dance was to ‘Hey Soul Sister’ by Train and included Aaron accidentally hitting me over the head with his elbow. So on brand.
AWKWARD BUT ENTHUSIASTIC DANCING.
We made our own dressing up corner by buying tons of props and a cheap wooden picture frame for people to hold up. So much love for this idea!
Sorry for another ton of photos, I hope you’re still enjoying them. One more wedding blog to go and a honeymoon one and then I promise I will get back to beauty posts!
