Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you will have seen this palette popping up all over social media. Usually I don’t go in for the hyped products, but the Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland palette has been calling to me. And when I got a Debenham’s voucher at an event recently this was the first thing that popped into my mind.
This is going to be photo heavy post because I needed to capture just how incredible this palette is!
Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette
The collaboration between Disney and Urban Decay is a genius one: both are famous for visually unique and eye-catching creations so this was always going to be a beautiful palette. It was brought out as a limited edition palette to coincide with the release of the new Disney film, Alice Through The Looking Glass.
Even the outer box is ridiculous looking!
The upper section of the box contains a mirror, with the immortal quote “we’re all mad here”. Below that is a double-doored section that has another quote: “I’m not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just different from yours”. These doors lift to reveal…
…the most beautiful butterfly that pops up and shines in the sun. SO PRETTY.
And the main event… the shadows. This whole drawer pulls out so you don’t have to hold the entire box when you’re doing your make up, which is a great idea. The box is beautiful but it’s fairly cumbersome to hold for 20 minutes while you’re doing your make up!
The shadows included in this box are some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen. The shifts in some of these colours are just dazzling. You can either mix up the colours as you wish, or take each set of 4 together in a column to create a tailored look.
Here are the swatches of all the eyeshadows. These are seriously pigmented, even the lighter colours, and the glitter and shimmer comes through so well. It’s rare that I find an eyeshadow palette where every single shade appeals to me, usually there are a few duds there to bulk up the numbers but this palette is all killer, no filler.
Keep scrolling for the close ups.
So, on a scale of 1 to GIMME how much do you need the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette? And now for the bad news… it’s currently sold out but I’m sure it’ll be restocked soon as this is set to be super popular. Keep an eye out HERE.
