Get your sunglasses on, the Jessica Prime Collection has landed! Five beautiful bright créme polishes, all perfect for the summer months. Take a look at the swatches below and let me know your favourite in the comments, I just can’t decide!
Jessica ‘Yellow’* – It’s hard to find the ideal yellow polish for your skin tone, so don’t give up if your first choice gives you spam-hands. I think that this one might be The One for me. It’s a sunshine yellow but doesn’t lean too warm which means it is very flattering on my pale, pink-toned skin. This needed three coats to cover any bald spots, but that’s pretty standard for these types of colours. The finish was still smooth and clear, even after multiple coats.
Jessica ‘Orange’* – I really like the tone of this polish, I expected a bright orange but this is a more unusual muted red/orange. I think this would look absolutely beautiful as a holiday shade on both fingernails and toenails, like a slightly more chic coral. This was a two coater.
Jessica ‘Magenta’* – This is a beautiful colour and polish, but it’s probably the most generic in the Jessica Prime collection so it didn’t get me too excited as I have many polishes that look similar. However, it really rounds out the collection and is a wonderful formula and tone if you have a fuchsia polish-shaped gap in your stash.
Jessica ‘Purple’* – The formula of this polish surprised me as it was quite watery. The first coat was very sheer and streaky which I wouldn’t have guessed from looking at the bottle. It took a further two thin coats to reach full opacity but the finish was very smooth so it wasn’t a problem. It’s a lovely purple shade although I do wish it was a little more vivid so it would fit with the collection better, as it is it feels a little bit autumnal.
Jessica ‘Blue’* Holy moly, this is a pretty polish. The first coat was very watery and streaky, similar to the purple shade, but as soon as I applied the second coat, it was opaque and transformed into this beautiful blue. If you’re a fan of these types of blues, I actually did a whole blog post on similar shades in my collection (no, *you* have too many polishes…) I can’t wait to bust this colour out over the hot weather months!

I’ve just recently found your blog and insta and I’m so pleased I have as I can now while away more time day dreaming of pretty nails, make up I want to buy and skincare must have to add to my already long list. In my teenage years I had a very impressive nail colour collection but since I got a proper job I’m no longer allowed to have pretty painted nails so when I do get the opportunity I take ages deciding on a colour and then almost instantly regret the choice I made. Finding your blog will now help me be more decisive as we have similar skintone.
I’m loving the Jessica blue and orange, I think these will look great in the sun, pool side (more day dreaming!)
