Dermatica Skincare Range Review: My Rosacea’s New Best Friend?

If you follow Dermatica on social media, you may have seen a lot of excitement as they have just launched an entire skincare range. I have been sworn to secrecy about this launch, but I have already been trying the products for the past two months so here is my full Dermatica skincare range review (with a great discount code as well!)

This is a sponsored post in association with Dermatica.

The whole range of Dermatica daily skincare essentials are designed to work perfectly alongside your personalised Dermatica treatment (although – obviously – they can be used by anyone, even if you aren’t currently using Dermatica!) and they are a great way to take the guesswork out of your routine. I’ll talk you through the whole range below, but first I wanted to give you a quick refresher about Dermatica and what they do.

WHAT IS DERMATICA?

Dermatica create custom-made, personalised skincare formulas and they were actually the first company in the UK to offer an online, personalised, evidence-based rosacea formula tailored to the customer’s individual needs. Their goal is to make skincare accessible and affordable for everyone. The process is really simple: you complete a free, online consultation where you upload photos of your skin from all angles and provide information about your skin and your desired results. The in-house dermatology team then look at your information and recommend next steps. After completing your subscription purchase, every month you receive a new tube of your personalised cream through the post. This monthly delivery means that the team can tweak your formula over time, with your input, to make sure it is the perfect blend for you. I think this kind of hands-on, tailored skincare is so clever and knowing that there is a team of experts right there to offer individual advice and support is so comforting.

MY DERMATICA FORMULA

I’ve been using some form of the Dermatica personalised formula for 19 months. I started off using the rosacea-specific formula and used that for a year (you can read my full review of that HERE), and then last year I asked them to tweak my formula to target some of my other skin concerns so it now contains a retinoid. I know this can be a scary ingredient for those of us with sensitive skin, but I’ve started off with a very low percentage and I’m really pleased with my results. You can read my full review of the retinoid formula HERE.

If you’re interested in trying any of the Dermatica formulas, I have a seriously great discount code that you won’t find anywhere else: click THIS LINK (UK) or THIS LINK (US) and enter the code LEX to receive your first month for only £2.90 and to get 15% off your second and third months.

So now you know a bit more about the brand, let’s get into the Dermatica skincare range review.

There are 6 new products in the range and, as I said above, I’ve been trying them out since January. It has been so hard to not talk about them! All of the products are under £16, fragrance free, and full of brilliant, effective ingredients. There are also two bundle options – I’ve included details below. Keep your peepers peeped for an exclusive discount code at the end of this post as well!

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE IN THE DERMATICA SKINCARE RANGE?

DERMATICA CLEANSERS

DERMATICA MOISTURISERS

DERMATICA SERUM

DERMATICA BALM

DERMATICA SKINCARE BUNDLES

If you want to get your whole routine sorted in one go, Dermatica are also offering skincare bundles which each include a cleanser, serum, and moisturiser. Just pick the bundle that best represents your skin type or results you’re looking for.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I am so impressed by the whole Dermatica skincare range and even more so because it’s so affordable. The fact that you can get a whole skincare range for about £30 is incredible, especially as you could add it to your next Dermatica delivery so you don’t even have to pay postage – bargains upon bargains! It’s rare that I like every product from a range but this is a really strong selection. My favourites are probably the gel-formula cleansers and moisturisers, simply because I have oily/combination skin. But I would happily use all of these products with no issues.

I also really love the packaging and recent rebranding Dermatica have had. I know that it’s not an essential for a skincare range to look pretty, but so many brands that are aimed at sensitive skin are so clinical and boring-looking. It feels like we’re often overlooked when it comes to products that look nice on the shelf, but this whole range looks great. I’ve been using them all since January and I’m going to continue to use them for the foreseeable, so feel free to keep sending questions.

The only thing that’s missing from this range is a sunscreen (very important when you’re using actives, as we all know) and I’m still crossing my fingers that Dermatica are going to get involved with that area in the future, because can you imagine how good it would be?! While I’m here, Dermatica, I’d also love a cleansing balm, a hydrating mask, an eye cream suitable for sensitive eyes, and maybe a facial spritz. I hope you’re writing this down…

DISCOUNT CODE

If you are interested in trying any of the skincare range, I have a seriously great discount code for you. Either use THIS LINK or use the code LEX20 to get 20% off everything in the range. Also, I’ve been told that this discount code also applies to the Azelaic Acid (which is never on sale!).

A reminder: If you’re interested in trying the Dermatica personalised formulas, I have a discount code that you won’t find anywhere else: click THIS LINK (UK) or THIS LINK (US) and enter the code LEX to receive your first month for only £2.90 and to get 15% off your second and third months.
