It’s been a while since I’ve done some nail art and I was looking back at previous designs I’ve done (by the way you can find all my nail images HERE if that floats your boat) and one of my favourites was my camouflage nail art. So I thought I’d give it a spring/summer vibe and try out some pastel camouflage nail art!
The new essie Bridal 2017 collection is here and they’ve released it in the beautiful Gel Couture formulation. These are high-shine, long-lasting nail varnishes that don’t require a lamp to cure them. I’ve swatched the whole collection below, let’s take a look!
When I’m shopping for nail varnish, I am always drawn to glitter and bright obnoxious shades and these tend to be the ones I get really excited by. But in my (*extensive*) nail varnish collection, if I think about my most worn shades it will always be nudes in the greige kind of area. There are shades to suit every skin tone, they go with everything, and they make you look instantly put together even if you’ve just thrown on some jeans and a tee. So the new Jessica Silhouette Collection definitely piqued my interest…
The muted nail trend is one of my absolute favourites – I’m a huge fan of anything grey-toned and am always looking for nail varnish that puts a different spin on the typically season-appropriate colours. Spring is usually when people unpack their pastels, maybe a few brights, perhaps some nudes. So I’ve picked some beautiful Morgan Taylor polishes that are unusual takes on the more traditional colours.
I haven’t done any nail art for a while and I’m really loving clashing colours at the moment so when these beauties arrived I had an idea that would perfectly marry the two. So here’s my dotty manicure using the Seventeen Gel Colour polishes*.
