I don’t know about you but I am so ready for Spring. Lighter evenings, leaving scarves at home for the first time in (what feels like) forever and, more excitingly, COLOUR. I don’t tend to follow the rules of shades in certain seasons but I am already finding myself leaning towards the brighter and lighter side of things. Is there anything more annoying (in the beauty world at least) than falling in love with something and then it getting discontinued? The essie Retro Revival collection* is here to try to rectify that. Essie have brought back 6 of their most lamented discontinuations for a limited time only. Last summer, essie asked their customers to vote on which polishes to bring back, so these are all cult favourites. I was sent the whole collection so prepare yourself for a very photo-heavy post…

essie Luxeffects 2015 Collection

I’m a huge essie nail varnish fan but their glitters are always something else. Every year they release a Luxeffects range in the run up to Christmas and it’s always a sparkly, shimmery, festive explosion.

It’s December and I’m in full on carol-playing, gluten-free-mince-pie-eating, Baileys-drinking, festive-jumper-wearing, annoyingly-chirpy Christmas mode. But before I get too excited about the coming festivities, let’s take a look back at my November monthly favourites 2015. There are some old favourites, a few new bits and pieces and some book recommendations (as always), don’t forget to tell me your faves from the month too!
