A very exciting phrase I never thought I would say coming up… tomorrow I will be talking at Vogue House. I will be doing two talks as part of the Beauty Without Boundaries pop up: a partnership with Vogue, Feel Unique and Pinterest to celebrate the Vogue Beauty Awards. Pinterest has asked me to talk about my rosacea and how I use ‘unusual’ beauty to give me confidence – a topic I could talk about until the cows come home. They may need to drag me off-stage to shut me up…!
I have spoken a lot about my views on beauty and my complicated relationship with both beauty and the way that I look and I’m so thrilled that Pinterest, Vogue, and Feel Unique have asked me to talk about it at their pop up. The whole concept of the Beauty Without Boundaries campaign is wonderful, with a real focus on unique beauty and a positive and inclusive way of looking at how we present ourselves. Pinterest is the perfect partner for this campaign as it’s my favourite place to find inspiration for my beauty looks: whether that’s photos from talented make up artists, colour palette ideas, or texture inspiration.
Take a peek at my Beauty Without Boundaries board HERE – it contains all of my favourite unusual make up looks, including the ones I created especially for this event using brands and products nominated in the Vogue Beauty Awards. You can also check out the Vogue and Feelunique Pinterest board for inspiration.

THINK PINK
People are often scared of pink eye make up, but it’s one of my favourite make up looks to do. It’s so pretty but still edgy. And can be toned down if you don’t want to go full-on fuchsia. Would you wear pink eyeshadow?

HERE COMES THE SUN
Another eyeshadow that I think most people would shy away from: mustard yellow. But if you have blue/green eyes like me, please just try an orange/yellow eyeshadow because it will make your eyes look incredible. I promise!

TONE UP
Warm-toned eye make up is my go-to beauty look whenever I’m feeling uninspired but this tonal look was a bit of a challenge to me. Choosing one colour and using it all over your face can feel a little intense but I think it looks so chic.

LINE IT UP
This look requires a steady hand but I have a few tips to help those who feel intimidated! I used a white liner to lightly sketch where I wanted the line to go (which helped get both eyes even!); don’t try to do one smooth line as it will inevitably go wrong – try doing a few small lines and joining them up; and finally, an angled eyeliner brush dipped in eye-make up remover is your friend for cleaning up the edges!

ORANGE YOU GLAD IT’S GREY?
The inspiration for this look came from Pinterest. I pinned an image of a beautiful interior makeover with a grey and coral theme, and as soon as I saw it I wondered what grey and orange/coral would look like in a make up look. So when Feel Unique sent me this beautiful greige lipstick I knew this was my moment. I absolutely adore this look!

YOU BLUE IT
Winged eyeliner is such a classic look and the perfect way to make it more summery is to swap your usual black liner for a bold colour. It’s such a bright and fun look and – when paired with a pretty pink lipstick – it’s very wearable.

And that’s your lot! Which of the Beauty Without Boundaries looks is your favourite? Have any of these looks inspired you to be more bold with colour? I had so much fun creating these looks. I may recreate the grey/coral one for my talks tomorrow!

FUCKING VOGUE!! that’s incredible, you’re seriously kicking ass! I love them all but I can’t resist that floating eyeliner look. My eyelids are too droopy for that really but it’s just such a great look xxxx
