Talonted Lips And Tips: Week Three

If you’re a fan of lipstick and nails then my current instagram challenge will be right up your street: for Talonted Lips And Tips I set myself the challenge of matching my lips to my nails each day for the month. I can’t believe we’re now in the last week!

Talonted Lips And Tips - matching lipstick and nails challenge summary

Here’s my summary of week three of Talonted Lips And Tips. You can see week one HERE and week two HERE. Let me know which is your favourite so far in the comments below! And if you want to keep up with the rest of the month, you can follow me on instagram HERE (and I’ll love you forever!).

Nude lips and matching nails, matte blush pink nails (Talonted Lips And Tips)

This type of look is what I had in mind when I first decided to do Talonted Lips and Tips: simple matching nails and lips. I wanted to use products that I neglect and showcase some of my amazing collection while challenging myself to make content every single day. I love the simple looks but they’ve soon been overshadowed by the more intricate lip art (like the one below) but I still think they look really striking.

PRODUCTS USED: Nails Inc x Lottie Tomlinson Matchbox set ‘Babes & Mint’* // Cheeky ‘Matt Demon’ topcoat* // L’Oréal Paris True Match foundation // Vichy Dermablend Setting powder*

Lime green and baby pink swirls, nail art and matching lip art (Talonted Lips And Tips)

This reminds me of boiled sweets, or (for some reason) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Someone on Twitter said it looked like Party Rings… and now I’m hungry. This took a lot of patience and very careful  brush work and I’m so happy with how it came out.

PRODUCTS USED: LA Splash ‘Rose Garden’ // NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner ‘Escape’ // L’Oréal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss ‘Clear’ // Sally Hansen Miracle Gel ‘Pink Cadillacquer’ // Collection ‘Look At Me’ //Seche Vite top coat // The Ordinary Serum Foundation* // GOSH Priming and Setting Powder*

Negative space lip art and nail art, metallic purple make up (Talonted Lips And Tips)

As I mentioned on Instagram, I was falling asleep one night when this look appeared fully formed in my brain so I woke up in the morning to a garbled voice memo on my phone describing this in confused, rambling detail. But I’m very thankful of my sleepy brain as I love this look. Also, this is probably the closest you’ll get to my naked nails on the blog…!

PRODUCTS USED: Gerard Cosmetics Metal Matte ‘Underworld’ // Maybelline Baby Lips Gloss* // Essie ‘Ready To Boa’* //Seche Vite top coat // Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation

Navy glue and rose gold polka dots, nail art and matching lip art (Talonted Lips And Tips)

Who doesn’t love polka dots? And rose gold? Double swoon.

PRODUCTS USED: LA Splash Smitten Lip Tint Mousse ‘Deadly Nightshade’ // MUA Cosmetics Velvet Lip Lacquer ‘Potency’* // Jouer lip topper ‘rose gold’ //acrylic paint // Essie ‘After School Boy Blazer’ // Essie ‘Penny Talk’ (discontinued in UK) //Cheeky ‘Matt Demon’ topcoat* // L’Oréal Paris True Match foundation // Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder*

Matte neon glitter, lip art and matching nail art (Talonted Lips And Tips)

I can’t describe how much joy matte neon glitter gives me. I adore this look but it resulted in me swallowing a LOT of glitter. Probably not good.

PRODUCTS USED: L’Oréal Paris True Match foundation // Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder* // Sephora High Coverage concealer // glitter from eBay // Essie ‘Lace Me Up’* //Cheeky ‘Matt Demon’ topcoat*

Nude lips and matching nails (Talonted Lips And Tips)

I love matte blush pink and I think this look is so chic and classic. If you’re interested in the nail varnish in this look, I’ve reviewed it (and the rest of the collection) HERE.

PRODUCTS USED: Smashbox Always On Lipstick ‘Step Out’* // Essie ‘Suit & Tied’* //Cheeky ‘Matt Demon’ topcoat* // L’Oréal Paris True Match foundation // Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder*

Red and gold lip art and matching nail art, gold stars (Talonted Lips And Tips)

This reminds me of Wonder Woman and I am loving that. I found a bag of these gold stars in my blog prop stash and knew I had to do something with them. I kind of wish they were a little smaller so I could’ve squeezed in some more (I really don’t know when to stop when it comes to decoration).

PRODUCTS USED: Gerard Cosmetic Metal Matte ‘Cherry Bomb’ // MUA Cosmetics Velvet Lip Lacquer ‘Firecracker’* // gold stars // Essie ‘Ring In The Bling’* //Seche Vite top coat // The Ordinary Serum Foundation* // GOSH Priming and Setting Powder*

Which was your favourite look from week three of Talonted Lips And Tips? I can’t believe the month is almost over. I’m going to miss coming up with new ideas every day, but this has rekindled my love for nail art and has introduced me to lip art so I doubt this is the last you’ll see of my creations! If you’re not already following me on instagram you can find me and keep up with the challenge HERE.
