Minimalist Nail Art With CND Vinylux

I was sent some of the new CND Vinylux Boho Spirit range of long wear polishes and I fancied trying them out so here is my first bit of nail art in a while – a summery minimalist nail art look.

Minimalist nail art with CND Vinylux. Simple summer nail art.

I fancied doing a little bit of nail art but I really didn’t have time to do anything too elaborate so I decided to do this pretty and summer-appropriate minimalist nail art. It takes next to no time but adds a little bit of interest to a plain manicure.

I started by doing a base layer of CND Vinylux Uninhibited* (#279) which is a gorgeous soft peach shade. This polish needed two careful coats to cover any bald spots, but it dried very smoothly with no dragging. I popped on a coat of Seche Vite to dry everything quickly, and then used a dotting tool (top tip: you can just use an unbent hairpin if you don’t have a dotting tool!) to carefully dot a blob of CND Vinylux Offbeat* (#278) just above my cuticle. This is really pretty rich fuchsia pink that’s not necessarily unique to my collection, but is a classic colour that I’ll get loads of wear out out of. Then one last coat of Seche Vite and I was good to go. All in all this manicure took about 10 minutes!

What do you think to this minimalist nail art look? Do you think you’ll be trying a similar manicure yourself? Check out my other nail art on this Pinterest board if that kind of thing floats your boat, rings your bell, and ticks your boxes.
