Morgan Taylor ‘The Color Of Petals’ Collection

It has been a while since I’ve gone back to my manicure blog roots on here, but I’m excited to show you the Morgan Taylor ‘The Color Of Petals’ Collection today. The whole range was inspired by flowers and the soft pretty colours associated with them. If you’re a fan of subtle colours and soft shades this will be right up your street.

When I originally sat down to review the Morgan Taylor ‘The Color Of Petals’ Collection I only intended to pick my top three polishes … but when I started swatching I remembered how fun it was, and ended up photographing all six. Let me know which is your favourite shade in the comments below!

All of the polishes were sent to me as PR samples.

Morgan Taylor ‘I Feel Flower-ful’ – a light nude pink creme polish. A classic soft neutral shade that would look great on everyone. This needed three careful layers to avoid bald spots.

Morgan Taylor ‘Gardenia My Heart’ – a dusty rose creme. By far my favourite shade in the collection. This polish is subtle enough to go with any outfit but the grey-lilac tone makes it a little more interesting than a regular nude. Another 3-coater.

Morgan Taylor ‘Merci Bouquet’ – a lilac creme polish. I thought this was going to be a front-runner but the formula was a little bit streaky even after 3 layers (which comes through in the photos). A shame because the colour is lovely.

Morgan Taylor ‘Young, Wild, & Freesia’ – a soft peach creme polish. This type of colour is always a must-have for me in the summer as it looks good on both tanned and pale skin. This is a softer option if you aren’t a fan of the bolder corals that come out every year. 3 coats with no streaking issues.

Morgan Taylor ‘Strike A Posie’ – a blush pink creme polish. A very light nude that would look incredible on tanned skin – especially as a pedicure. Sadly on my skin-tone it made me look a little… corned-beefy. If you like Essie Fiji this is a similar shade. Amazingly for such a pale colour, this was a two-coater.

Morgan Taylor ‘Follow The Petals’ – a pink pearl polish. I’ve always been open about my lack of love for pearlised finish polishes, think just remind me of the 80s and not in a good way. However, if pearly polishes are your thing, this has a soft gold glow to it that’s very pretty.
