It feels like a lifetime ago that I started this blog to chronicle my love for manicures and nail art. I often think about changing my blog name so it reflects the wider topics I talk about now, but I think I’d be sad to let go of my nail blogger roots. So of course, I couldn’t let the festive season come and go without doing some Christmas nail art… I’m hoping to do a few looks but here is the first: Christmas baubles!

This Christmas nail art was actually fairly simple to do – the only tricky bit is the string which does need a steady hand. Rest on something sturdy, avoid coffee beforehand, and eat something to avoid the shakes!
I painted my nails with two coats of ‘Off Tropic‘* (one my favourite essie polishes) and a layer of Seche Vite* to seal it. I then used a tiny paintbrush to do my baubles, but you could just use the nail polish brush if you’re not fussed about super crisp edges! For my glitter I used two polishes from Floss Gloss: Dimepiece (the silver holographic one) and Honey (the bronze) You can see them in their full glory in THIS POST. I then used the tiniest paintbrush I own and carefully applied ‘Gold Digger‘ from Barry M (from THIS amazing collection) and a dotting tool to do the sparkles in the background. A final layer of Seche Vite* and you’re done!
Deck the halls, ho ho ho, and merry Christmas you lovely lot!
